The Flames were not good in the first period, down 17-6 in shots. But they did have the lead at the 1st intermission.
Still, I think if the coach, or the team itself, decided to start shooting more, the Flames flipped the script on shots in the second period.
And there was a little slump after the Sharks tied the game. But the third period started, and the Flames kept working, and they got results!
The Flames depend on two games. They can get to 86 points, and an Anaheim regulation win over the Wild can certainly help the Flames.
The Blues want a regulation win, that would give them 86 points, and 32 RW's. For the Flames to pass them, any other result between Anaheim and St. Louis would open that door.
The Wild and the Blues start their games an hour before the Flames, so the Flames will know early in their third period against the Golden Knight, who won't be a pushover, what they need to do, probably a Regulation Win, to pass St. Louis, and/or the Wild. 😁
It would be very sweet if the Flames could get into the playoffs, after completing the season sweep over the Kings with a Regulation win. 😁
