  1. This is a rare instance where the player who takes head contact is responsible for it. the other player does not jump or extend or reach to create that contact, the ducking of the head is what initiates it. If we want players to be careful in how they initiate contact, then we have to also expect them to be careful in how they receive it. Kulik put himself in the vulnerable position

  2. Completely disagree. This IS interference. Kulich is NOT eligible for contact. Gadjovich isn't playing the puck; he's 100% focused on hitting Kulich.

  3. Agreed, Kulich skated into the hit but it's interference. It's not an illegal check if Kulich actually has possession but he doesn't and doesn't even touch the puck. Gadjovich is trying to time a hit on a player who is trying to receive a pass. Even if it's not an illegal hit it's definitely an attempt blow up an unsuspecting player. It's the kind of hit that it doesn't matter if it's legal or illegal, the Sabres should be retaliating against a Panther player and I don't mean the pointless fight.

  4. Good play. And Gadjo actually touched the puck, meaning a) no interference, b) HE'S eligible to be hit, C) which means he's entitled to brace for contact. Kulik can't be skating with his head down and extended like that with a dude right in front of him. What did he expect would happen?

  5. Agreed, looks clean to me also. I think I’d have been ok with the refs calling a minor penalty for interference, but I’d lean towards no penalty.
It could have had some devastating results though, Gadjovich clips Kulich in the visor right after.
