From what Coach Todd McLellan said, players will be playing for their jobs tonight.
I think he has probably seen enough of the present teams act and some players will be packing their bags.
It doesn't look too promising for Yzerman.He has a lot of work to do this summer.
What is the point? Really? It's great when wins do matter and I want them to do well in the standings, make the playoffs, etc., but personally, I want to watch good hockey from my Wings. It's a long summer. i'm not going to sulk and make it longer by not watching just because they're eliminated.

I hope Kane returns. They need hius talent and leadership to get to the next level. And his play with Cat is so great. They need to fix the defense and goal tending and add much needed offensive talent. Great jhob Scottie. Ray L

why is the wings draft scouting so good since Yzerman took over but their pro trades have been the opposite ? What needs to change in free agent talent assessments

Geez, I have pretty high standards for what I'd consider good hockey, and I don't remember being so cynical about this win. I thought they played well pretty much the whole game, and McLellan seemed pretty happy with their effort.
What should you turn the TV on for? How about just the fact that you like hockey? Maybe they'll play well regardless of how much the game's matter. Maybe it'll be nice to watch the games and see them still trying to put on a good show for the fans. Maybe that will lift your spirits a little. There's always something to hope for.
It was announced they are shutting down Soderblom for the final games because of some injury. I'd like to hear they shut down Larkin so doesn't get 30 this season. Now that games are meaningless he'll score a couple times and the talking heads with praise him for it.
He's the #1 guy that needs to go. He's been the face of failure here too long.
