Matthews having a down year? I wonder how many points he’s on pace for in the season if he played all 82? Oh.. 92.. well surely there isn’t a leaf in 2nd for goals for and top 5 points? Oh there is? And they’re two different guys? And neither of them are Matthews?
I didn’t know you played until I heard the “go to the net” question. I once scored on a tip while falling backwards at the net. My most memorable moment in my otherwise un memorable beer league career. Was it fun? Yep, loved it. Hang in there, Steve.

I’d rather my teammates lose the puck trying to make a good pass than rush a pass off to noone and have to chase it down or it be a give away.
We need to have the conversation (again) about the NHL's nonsensical point system. The leafs are 50-26-4 with 104 points. Tampa is 46-26-8 for 100 points. So the reason the leafs haven't clinched first is because they're tied with tampa in RW, even though the leafs will have more ACTUAL wins than tampa this year, and are 4-0 in the head to head against them. Regulation wins being the first tie breaker means that it is more valuable to lose in OT than to win. Yes, you get the extra point for winning in OT, but that win still essentially counts as a loss when it comes to a tie breaker. How is the team's record not the first tie breaker after points??? What planet are we on? Why is it not 3-2-1 point system like 4 nations? Why is it not 1-8 playoff format that reseeds every round? Divisional rival? In 1-8 toronto would play ottawa and then potentially Montreal in the first 2 rounds. Who wouldn't want that?

The culture of a city affects any team. Canadian culture of collectivism in Toronto has to affect Toronto, Montreal and Ottawa. Change the culture and the team gets better. The players are happier to live there. Look at Boston. A woke city. Who wants to play there? Fix Toronto, and you fix the Leafs.

If Toronto loses the next two and Tampa wins their games then they are tied so, what are the tie breaking rules? I thought Toronto would still win because they have more regulation wins.
