there is always a silver lining to everything, but this is cold comfort considering what should have been. I wonder if NYR can convince the coach for DEnver to take the wheel. Maybe then if we have a coach that is hungry and has something to prove and who has a pedigree of rearing young players…I don't know. just anyone but Joel Quenville or Joe Tortarella. If they hire Quenville I would stop supporting the team as long as he was coach.
We were better off under John Davidson. With that said I just doubt Dolan fires Drury. So my guess Drury stays Laviolette gets the boot, maybe Torts comes back because Dolan loves him, but we need young blood to deal with these new type of Hockey players. My first choice is David Carle but would he want to come and deal with JT MIller, Zibanejad and this mess?? It’s going to be a long summer. See you in October boys ⛳️🏌🏻♂️☀️

It looks like it will be a while before this team is a contender, I hope I am wrong.
Awful season, with awful coaching and poor moves by the GM, robbing the team of any good picks for the upcoming draft. This was an epic failure of a season on every single level. Even the players themselves gave up after Trouba was dealt. I honestly don't see it getting any better next season, as things stand now. Major changes need to be made at every level within the organization if they want to bounce back.
The most positive thing about this season will be the sacking of Dreary & Laughiolette if it were to happen. Drury's best trade was the JT Miller trade & it would have been stupendous if he had included K'iller instead of Mancini. The Kakko trade I liked because Borgen has exceeded my expectations & I think he is a very good defenseman. The Colorado trade was meh & picking up players like Kaliyev, Aube-Kubel & Brannstrom was downright stupid. I think the Rangers could bounce back in a big way if they were to bring in a whole new functioning management.

This squandered season is only "a complete waste" if the inexcusable problems are not addressed in the off season. Mollie Walker writing in the NYPost addresses 3 issues with the GM that many of us have said: Mistreatment of Goodrow, undermining the Captain Trouba but not giving the C to anyone else, and that terrible 'leaked' league wide trade memo. Fire the GM.
Coach looks like a confused dad that can't get the teenagers to stop cutting classes and look for jobs. Inexcusably bad defense means best goalie tandem gets shelled for 5+ goals a night. Special teams are inefficient. "Too many men" penalties…Let the entire coaching staff go.
Every player who quit or slacked – trade them for whatever they'll bring.
Lose Smiley Cuddly Teddy Bear Rempe and get Rempe the enforcer back. Stop the softness and get some payback…and not the slow dancing doggie paddling scrums…beat them senseless.
