Putting Demi with Laine would be a mistake. I was at the game last night. Demi was yawning because he was watching Laine 'skate'. Laine looks like the gsme controller was disconnected
there is no excuse for playing pezz at this point.
If the Habs are planning to play Demidov with Laine, they will need a physical defensive center to play with them. They need someone to protect them and do the dirty work.
The problem with Laine, Newhook and Dach was the lack of defense.

Newhook could be great at entering the zone then passing off the puck ,he currently drives the net while carrying the pucking into the zone and we like players that drive the net , newhook doesn't have the finish tho .
Jackeye and Logan m would make a strong 3rd pairing for future success.
