Super exciting news, and I hardly ever even follow the eastern conference. I'll be watching his first game diligently
1. Off Line 1 – Suzuki
3A. Checking line – Dvorak
3B. Def line – Evans
3C. Off line 2 – Newhook
This is how they play their lines 5v5. Newhook and Laine are too spread apart in speed. Bad defensively, bad on faceoffs. That line is dangerous, 5v5 sees limited ice time. I put Demidov with Evans for now until Heineman comes back. Then Demidov can join the spare parts with newhook and laine.😂

Anderson stays with Dvorak and Gally, that line cannot be touched just like the 1st line. Kappy can move to the 4th line with Evans. I would love to see a Kappanen Evans Heineman line one day but Armia kinda needs to be in the lineup for PK reasons.

FWIW I read a tweet that if Montreal makes the playoffs, they will be youngest team in history to do so (25.88 average age).
The playoffs werent in the plans thus year, which mean we are ahead of the plan.
And we still have 2 first round pick.

No way are they breaking up Anderson-Dvorak-Gallagher, I would think. They might ease in Demidov with Evans and Armia, or just move Kapanen over to the 4th line with Evans and Armia, and try out that Demidov-Newhook-Laine 2nd line. Exciting times for the Habs regardless!

Montreal is killing it right now. Is it possible that adding a new team member right now coiud change the chemistry dynamics between the lines and potentially kill their momentum trying to find the right line-ups?
Yes, I am optimistisch. However, this has all been about the players showing up to play. This team has had great talent the last few years, but had lackluster performance. Many times this year it seemed like when they put forth the effort, the could win, and when they didn't, they would lose. The team we have been watching for the past month or so, looks like a team that wants to win and make the playoffs. They've always had the ability to win, now it seems they've found the attitude to match. They could put up a good fight if they continue bringing this attitude into the playoffs. GO HABS GO!

You cant break up Anderson , Dvo and Gally…. They have been on fire since 4 nations break…. So Kapen would be with Evans and Armia. And as a habs fan im stoked!!! Its buzzing like crazy over here! Demidov is going to make his start on Monday vs Chicago! MUST WATCH! the crowd will be insane… Tickets right now all the way on the top 400 sections are going for 300 CAD + ….. Imagine playoff ticket prices!

Being in that playoff push and having actual playoff game experience will be huge for the Habs development…much, much more helpful than a 6th to 16th draft selection in a year that does not have a deep draft.
Demidov's Agent securing a big bonus if his client wins the Conn Smythe is a very interesting bonus. Yes, it is very low risk for the Habs management, but reminds me of Ken Dryden putting the cart before the horse by winning the Conn Smythe before the Calder.
