There are guys in the Washington Capitals locker room that won't take that crap. Look at how LPD stepped up his game and fell in line.
Yzerman better lock in this off-season
Bouchard is not good defensively. They have ASP coming so it would be a huge mistake to tie up big money to Bouchard.
These guys are so against tough players it’s ridiculous. Boring soft hockey has not worked nor has it been watchable.
Bouchard has shown to be good defensively? Have you never watched him play? He is garbage defensively! The first thing the wings need to improve is their PK. They need to acquire two defensive defensemen. Stay away from Bouchard and his bloated salary, ffs.
If there is an exodus from Boston, what would you be willing to give up for a Mcavoy or Pasta
A big problem I think with the Leadership Group is, that Mo & Raymond are still too young to be seen by the older guys in the room as "real leaders" and the other older guys (like Chiarot) know, that they are not a part of the core group are defenitely gone when their contracts end, so why would they care anyways.
I just hope, that Yzerman is finally going to do some big changes in the off season to the Team. Holl has to be gone, Tarasenko, too. Hopefully you can get rid of one of Kopp or Compher as well and Gustafsson is a no factor on the ice, too.
I've been saying the same thing since Yzermans off season when he signed Copp, Perron and Kubalik during the Bedard draft year that it was the biggest mistake. The roster he assembled that year literally put us in no mans land knowing full well that there's at least 2 of not 3 franchise players there. Carlsson, Bedard and Fanitlli. Not to mention Michkov and Smith. Any one of them players would've jumped this rebuild instead were on the hope that Danielson and Pellika pan out. Every move since then outside of Debrincat and Kane have been head scratches. I could reiterate everything that's been pointed out already; Walman, ghost even Maata. 3 different coaches in 6 years, 7 different goalies, pro scouting. Dyan Larkin's captaincy…which I think that they gave him it so he wouldn't request a trade because the following years all his buddies were shipped out. He's a good player, but he's too emotional to lead a room. Dudes practically crying after every loss. People need to separate the Captain from just Yzerman because they're 2 different people. I'm sick of people bringing up Ken Holland when it's been 6 years since he was in office. When are people going to let that go? When they make the playoffs?
There's just way too much stock in the prospects. There needs to be more from management as far as roster construction. You can no longer blame coach utilization. Montreal success is based on drafting, waiver claims, free agency and trading.
Yzerman has only hit ONCE on a trade if you're not counting Walman, Twice in free agency on aging vets Perron (his leadership) and Kane. And that's in 6 years. Management has failed to do their part in building a nucleus around this core of Larkin, Seider Raymond and Debrincat.
No one worth signing is coming to Detroit, the only free agents the Wings will be able to lure in are the 37-38 y/o guys that are in clear decline. Guys like Marner, Boeser and Ekblad won't even take Yzerman's call.
