  1. I won't be able to stomach Holl and Tarasenko on the team next year. They have to be waived/bought out.

  2. I keep seeing hope the off season is great but let’s not forget that Chris won’t let Steve spend money so probably not going to get what we hope for

  3. the red wings cant score, its that simple, no team this bad when it comes to scoring will ever make the playoffs.

dont worry tho, Montreal will play golf soon also, they will not win against the capitals are a much much better team and have 4 home games and have nr 8, the canadiens only made it cause the east is very weak, probably the worst i ever seen, since when does a team with -20 goal differential make the playoffs, its not good, all these OT losses is what helped them with the extra points, they are NOT a good team, but Detroit is even worse!

  4. There are so many players that should not be on this team next year, but I have zero faith that Steve will make sure that’s the case.

  5. Now going into year 7..Still no 1A Sniper, 1A Defender, or 1A Goalie. We have ONE elite prospect in the pipeline in Pelikka with ZERO high end scoring prospects. Inexcusable.

  6. Getting lapped by Montreal in the rebuild race is pretty embarrassing.
Good thing Mclellan is here to implement his non-system for another year.

  7. The season was over when Yzerman decided the trade deadline reinforcements were Mrazek and Smith.

Draft picks mean nothing if you continue to pick 10th overall and have no shot at a franchise talent.

There is a huge disconnect between the fans/players and management/ownership. At some point, whether it is fair or not, Yzerman's patience is going to be seen as complacency.

  8. This team has played some good games through this rough 2nd half and just hasn’t been able to capitalize on opportunities to extend the lead or come back. Cat has been great, but we could use another true goal scorer. Larkin and Raymond have really struggled in that department since 4 nations. Lose Holl, demote Chiarot to 3rd pair. I’d be happy. The one place I’m unsure about is whether or not we let Kasper enter next season as 2C and give him that opportunity. He’s looked great there, but his scoring is going to have to take another step forward for him to truly be that guy. Anyway, great season fellas, love the show and tune in to listen all the time. Can’t wait for next season already

  9. I know that it is a fair critique (and mine too) of the free agent signings. But, I wonder how the team would look and perform if they had drafted better pre-Yzerman. Could’ve had Chychrun, Suzuki, Villardi, Necas (not all of course – some same draft). Chychrun and one of the other three being the players they are now versus Dennis Cholowski and Rasmussen. If Zadina had panned out, having a finisher to provide depth scoring would’ve been nice during the season. Those years of not hitting in the draft in meaningful ways forced some of the bad free agent pickups. Not absolving them from blame because need to be better identifying good pickups. However, it makes me hopeful that are drafting has been damn good so we can have some long term foundational pieces. Sucks that it requires patience. Sucks to be frustrated that the scouting did such a poor job the last five years or so with Holland. Can’t miss that many times and miss on first rounders unless you consistently find quality diamond in the rough players. Need high upside, dynamic offensive player (or dogs) swings with our picks.

  10. The fact that we had chance after chance to bury the puck is 100% on the players. Talbot has been nothing but giving us a chance to win which is probably the most surprising thing out of all this. It just goes to show that our goaltending and players are not in sync. This again falls on the players. You can blame Y for this also because he is responsible for the roster and he did NOTHING to get us set to make a push and had a negative off season again. We spent the entire beginning of the season blaming fester and he was bad but realistically we were playing some good hockey and as soon as Raymond and Larkin went to 4 nations and we also lost Copp not long after we fell on our face. Larkin and Raymond need to do some soul searching more so Raymond because he is now WAY overpaid if he is going to just skate around and not score for games on end. So sad that just a couple months ago we were finally looking at making the playoffs.

  11. I think Todd needs to sit Larkin down this offseason and have a hard talk with him about his leadership style. I love larks. I don’t agree with people saying they should take the C away from him, that would do way more damage in the locker room. But he needs to adapt more of a man’s leadership instead of a young man’s leadership style. He’s got to get mentally stronger.

He should go on a retreat with Rodger’s and re-orient his psyche. They are on the cusp of taking the next step, but they need Larkin to offload the weight of his last 10 years on this shitty team. You can see that he carries all those years around with him. He mentally needs a fresh start, almost like you see a guy get from a trade/change of scenery. That’s not going to happen with larks, but a soul search seems like it’s needed.

If he comes out next season still carrying this burden, I don’t see him leading a team to success.

  12. How many games did the worst PK unit in the league cost them this year? Probably enough to get them in the playoffs.

  13. Yzerman has done a horrendous job in Free Agency. Probably should be fired. 🤷🏻‍♂️

  14. I would like to know at Trade deadline, what offers or what players Yzerman tried to get but no team was doing the deal at all with them. And was it all on purpose to keep yzerman from scoring a good trade, because he is known to "Fleece" players and teams of better deals.

  15. We cannot FINISH 😑Raymond breakaway, DeBrincat even at times, and COMPHER!!! It’s like a disease. Meditation? Visioning? A Shaman? Wild Turkey?

  16. When Brian gets back, it would be cool to see the analytics of when Holl and Compher are one the ice together. Specifically compared to 3 on 5 situations.

Pretty sure id rather be able to ice the puck then have them playing together. And i bet it can be statistically proven.

  17. How it feels is… the red wings might find a way with the higher expected production from
Raymond and again debrincat and adding an actual good player or two for next season to get into the playoffs and win a series or 2 but I don’t see any sustained success for this team

  18. F your helmet!!. Block the guy taking the shot, take the penalty and live to fight another day. Also why is it every time everything begins to collapse, Holl is right in the middle of it when it starts??!

  19. I hate to say it but I think Stevie Y has had enough time to get the Wings back into the playoffs. Time to go!

  20. I'll be watching the last five, even if we have no chance. The boys had their chances to capitalize last night and didn't. That's… kinda been one of the season's storylines.

  21. Bro, do you really think it was their plan to play really hard for one period and then relax for the next two? That's not how it goes. They just played badly for the rest of the game. They were good when they kept getting the parts of the neck, and then they reverted back to the way they usually play.

  22. Compher missed the empty net. And no, the Habs' defenceman's stick did not deflect his shot over the net. Something doesn't smell right here… 🤑💰💰💰💰😉

  23. This team is a dumpster fire. Prospects won’t save us, even if they come up. Which they probably won’t because who would want to play for this dumpster fire? It’s gonna be the same song and dance next year but probably worse, as we’re gonna lose Kane, one of the lone bright spots on our team. Lock in your bets for no playoffs in the 2020s folks, we’re only 4 years away from being 6 years away’

  24. They cant finish. They have no talent. They did dominate, but if u cant finish, then it means nothing.

  25. The Redwings and the organization as a whole have become the NY Jets of the NHL 🤣🤣
There’s no reason to even rant about it anymore. It’s blatantly obvious that nothing is going to change in the foreseeable future. It is what it is 🤷🏼

  26. Justin Holl. The dude is ALWAYS in the middle of a turnover, bad play, goal against. My heart rate goes up everytime he’s on the ice. Justin Holl is the manifestation of Yzerman’s mistakes, and I think you can track that all the way back to when we drafted Zadina over Quinn Fucking Hughes. The dude cannot keep up with anyone under 30, he constantly gets passed in transition, he refuses to play hard and tie guys up in front of the net, the only thing he’s good at his dumping the puck in which if you noticed in the first period we did so little of that, which lead to such a commanding 1st. I cannot even begin to understand how this guy is worth $3.5 a year. Dude should be coaching little league in Cuba

  27. I blame this season on Stevie. Every bad decision he’s made led to this. Start of the season we trade Maata, Ghost, Walman, Sprong, Perron, for absolutely nothing of value in return. Tarasenko has done nothing but hit guys knees from the blue line all season. Justin Holl is the worst player in the NHL bar none. The guys we gave up while still not great were far better than what we got in return. We lost consistently because of this rosters lack of depth, and that really came to life in the Ottawa game when the guy we traded away scored on us, the guy we should’ve done after scored on us, and the goalie we NEEDED to go after in the offseason stood us up. It will not matter how many great prospects Yzerman drafts if there is not a core of seasoned talent to guide them and help develop them in the NHL. I pray this offseason allows for massive roster changes, because if this roster looks anything like it does right now, we will be no closer to playoffs next April than we are right now.

  28. I keep seeing the fire yzerman comments, but what about chris illitch? He’s the guy who gives the green/red light with the 💰 whenever yzerman wants to sign someone. I’m not saying yzerman is innocent, but I think there’s more bts than we’re seeing/hearing about.
This is not an nhl team. We have a handful of nhl’ers and the rest are minor league at best. Can’t have just a few guys carrying this team. Gotta have all lines contributing.
