Steve said click like, Steve I Love Love Love this video. You along with the news you shared with your wonderful audience has made me one very happy guy, a long way away from Toronto and Montreal. Greetings from the land down under. Keep up the good work and hockey 🏒 rules
Ok chill out steve… Montembeault is not Jaroslav Halak lmao
Habs fan here, Steve much respect to you with all you've done! Naturally I can't stand the Leafs lol however you're always exciting and entertaining to follow!
As much as it pains me to say this I hope the Leafs can have some success this year for your sake! Good luck this year and lets hope for a Habs Leafs matchup! Go Habs Go!
His signing includes a Conn Smythe bonus if he wins it. I'm not even kidding!
Love your content Steve. Fun fact, SKA arena is NHL size.
Habs are here
What were the Blackhawks thinking?
MIerci great podcast
Kuznetsov just got his contract terminated. It'd be sick if he signed in the off-season with the Habs
demidov played about 12 min per game..
9:32 it's Kapanen. and I hope he understands lol. He can help Laval actually win the whole thing. Or Pezzetta but he's always been the 5 minute TOI 8 hit legend
Clarification: Molson is worth more than GazProm.
Is Demidov comparable to Crosby who was dangerous from game one?
If that's the case, Christmas came early for Montreal in the coming playoffs this year
Who comes out of the line up? Pezzeta. That's the easiest part imo
I think that having St. Louis as his first NHL coach will be great for Demidov. Learn from a great offensively minded NHL winger is the perfect way for Demidov to acclimatize to North American hockey.
Really appreciate your KHL insights on this, Steve.
Great video Steve, well done.
– another Habs fan
Hey Steve, Ska's rink size is NHL dimensions. So…………….
Steve you were always my favourite leafs fan
We have a young team, going into the playoffs with a strong final month, and you add Denison
And next year we will have Reinbacher and Fowler, we have other prospects too but we tend to overvalue our prospect pool (Hage, Mailloux, etc)…and we still have 2 first rounders this summer!
There are only 3 Hughes prospects playing on the Canadiens; Slafkovsky, Hutson, Heineman. Demidov will be the 4th. Xhekaj, Guhle, Struble, Roy, Kapanen & the goalies were Bergevin acquisitions. Owen Beck was a Hughes prospect but he went back to the AHL. Dach & Newhook came with NHL experience, Newhook arrived with 159 games played. 8 players on the roster have played in a Stanley Cup final, including Caufield & Suzuki. The Hughes rebuild hasn't even hit the ice yet.
Very good video Steve!
good to know about your inside from khl . Cheers
Crazy part is that we play OTT on friday and are only 3pts behind them. Nothing says that we aren't going to face off against the Maple Leafs.
That would be real fun too.
KHL and NHL ice are the same size now.
Demidov also averaged like 5min less ice time per game than Demidov and Michkov as well as very little power play usage.
The fact his stats are what they are with his TOI being extremely low says a lot as well. If he were playing top mins he'd have double that.
The Habs aren’t to be f***ed with. They are capable of winning any type of game they’re in. That St.Louis game down 4-1 earning a point in a shoot out made me take them seriously. Now they’ve won 6 in a row. TO’s goaltending is the only thing saving them in a playoff round against Montreal.
Awesome vid, thank you from a MTL fan… but one correction Steve: SKA does in fact have an NHL size rink, so DemiGod's transition will be slightly easier.
I'm surprised u never mentioned his lack of icetime while putting up those numbers
Replacing pezzetta with demidov is quite an upgrade. If Habs can get some rest before playoffs they'll be dangerous.
Well, If that's not hype, I don't know what is… I might even watch hockey again with all that!
If Montreal makes the playoffs, they will be the youngest team in NHhL history to do so. It’s been quite a year for the Habs, from the lowest of lows, early on, to great hockey, to mediocre, and since the Four Nations, again terrific. Welcome Ivan to the biggest stage in hockey!! He will be welcomed by the team, the city, the province, and the fan base all over the world!!
Hoping that a Canadian team wins the SC this year!
A habs team that has no chance at winning a game in the playoffs is the scarriest monster known to man
I have been waiting for this moment since we drafted him. And with both us and Ottawa making a push for the playoffs and toronto still doing well (somehow), hockey in east coast canada is rejuvenating. Even if we somehow dont make it to the playoffs i am extremely proud of this team for taking a huge step forward we absolutely needed!
See you in round two mon minou.cant wait to see get crazy during the series.and yo know what they say for the it not really sping if the leafs ear not out .😂
I'd like to see Demidov at center position on the second line. He must play with Hutson every shift possible. Let him be the Jaromir Jagr of its time who played a major role at his rookie season and won the cup.
Tyler Thorpe! Give the giant some love!
@stevedangle Check habs stats the last 30 or last 40 games for goal differential.
Hopefully Montreal does decide to bring in another Russian for the guy. I'm sure he'll make friends but it's good to have a countryman around to help acclimate to the different culture to make a transition smoother. Possible Kuznetsov decides to follow next season? Or that Montreal would take a chance on him?
Didn't know Steve worked for KHL and probably speaks a little Russian (at least hockey related phrases)! As a Russian myself I really like it.
what an absolute g
I respect u steve – habs fan
Thanks for the explanation of Demidov's situation and your evaluation of him.
MONTREAL , HAVE ARRIVED.
Pretty sure most KHL teams play on NHL-sized ice now
I don't think that less fans had faith than you, it's just that they didn't "have to" make a jump. They are only 4 years removed from a Stanley Cup Finals appearance. If we look at the other rebuilding teams like Detroit and Buffalo, they still haven't gotten anywhere after 7 and 14 years of rebuilding. Not that a timetable like that is acceptable but getting to where we are now after 4 years is a very quick turnaround.
Caps might be in trouble Steeve? Might want to watch the Habs game on friday, if they Win they Will be one point away from Ottawa, and a first round with your leafs.
He’s here… he’s young… and he’s PISSED. LOOK OUT TORONTO.
