Does he have the most goals? Yes.
Is he the "greatest goal scorer"? No.
Ovi has basically been a healthy, consistent 40 – 50 goal scorer for 20 years. Gretzky goal record has been unbreakable for 26 years but Ovi own record wouldn't be broken in 100 year time with how the modern day game is played.
The greatest- no. The most goals -yes. How many goals were scored with Ovi on the ice? I doubt it’s close to how many goals were scored with Gretzky on the ice. Make no mistake I’m celebrating the milestone. And if Gretzky assist record. What’s missed in all of this ? Gretzky was a point scoring machine.
He reached 500 at 31 and now at pretty much 900 at 39….its insane!
