I saw Johnny Bower do that but he shot the puck off his own players skate and it went back into the net. It went off Frank Mahovlich's skate. Identical play.

Woll is bad
According to NHL rules, a goal is not permitted if it is scored off a player's skate. Therefore, if the puck deflects off a player's skate, it is considered a kicking motion and the goal will not count. If it let in the ref missed that goal.
Which the goalie try to pass the puck but it bounces off back from the shark player which count as a kicking motion.

Y’know what’s the worst, is that woll is such a Gr8 goalie, but he makes such massive blunders/misfortunes once in a blue moon and that’s all the fans remember, they don’t remember the goalie that was keeping us strong while stolarz was out. Or the year before when our supposed ringer flopped
