  1. 14 million is way too much for Marner hea not worth more than 8 per season. Performance matters and his numbers are not staggting. How can we offer Marner 14 million but not be willing to give Marchand 7.5 thats insane.

  2. I Don’t Think That The Boston Bruins Should Sign Him Because He Would Cost To Much And We Need To Use Our Cap Space To Resign Some Of Our Free Agents And Get Some Other Free Agents In Free Agency Like Boeser Or Ekblad Etc

  3. B's should NOT re-sign John Beecher. Given the physical skills he possesses, and the fact that he was a first round pick, makes him a massive disappointment, and his money is better spent elsewhere.

  4. He’s not worth 14 mil. I’d rather more of a goal scorer that has more toughness than Marner.

  5. I wouldn't want Marner near the Bruins even if he is the best. Not unless he can at least prove that he can grow the fuck up and have the right attitude.

I don't care if he's a top player that got the Leafs where they are if he is going to cry because things don't go his way on the ice he's going to create a toxic atmosphere for the locker room and we don't need more of that.

  6. Elhers has shown time and again he is a good team guy. I’d rather go for him than Mitch. Only problem is the last few seasons he’s been hit with the injury bug. At 6’0 180 would be nice for him to add 20 pounds but at 29 years old that’s not easy to do. That’s committing to the weight room and beefing up in the off season then maintaining that weight through the season when he’s been this size for a long time now.

  7. For 14mil I’d pass. Unfortunately, we overpaid for swayman, lindholm, and zadorov. Overpaying for marner would be the final nail in the Bruins coffin for at least 5+ years.

  8. Too soft rather have 2 players at 7AAV these 2 players would be far more productive and less demanding on payroll and one player just because of talent is not going to bring us back to respectability. We need far more than ONE high end player

  9. Brock is a RW him on our second line. Having Brad coming back on our third line. lysell gets pushed back to AHL? Or if we don’t sign Marchand back Lysells on our third line. Bring in Ehlers to battle for C1, C3 is Casey mittelstadt ,Beecher walks.

  10. Well i would love bruins go after Duchene hell be better then Nelson. Then winger Marner 14AAV well be alot worth it yes he'll be in first line with Pasta or second line with Duchene not bad. But then u have Boeser second option be good too. Well see how it goes. If Sweeney don't sign a center then u know he's out the door.

  11. Mitch is the best overall winger in hockey right now. Literally every team that has cap space should be targeting him.
The reality is why would Marner want to play here? We don't have an elite center. We don't have anyone in the system that looks like they could become an elite center. We aren't the elite team we were. This year our structure fell apart and our pipeline is pretty low when it comes to top end talent. If Mitch decides he wants to go to a contender, it's not going to be here. Or if he decides he wants to go to a young team that he can help make strides (Like San Jose, or Chicago) that's not here. If he decides he wants to try and be the piece that pushes a team that's already on an upward trend even better (Ottawa, Detroit) that's not here either. The only reason he'd play here that I can think of would be if we literally offered him more pay than anyone else and I can't see that happening.
So yeah Boston is going to make that call, of course they are. He's not going to sign here.

  12. Frank the tank here, I honestly don't know if marner would be worth the $14 million, I'm not exactly sure how old he is, but he's also going to want a long-term contract not just money, I don't know this could be very very dangerous, but I wouldn't be sad if it happened

  13. I could not possibly want less to do with a $14M per year player who has a league wide reputation of being soft and not performing in the playoffs. Please get rid of this current management before they can screw this up worse lol

  14. Get Marchand back and Bennett up front on a 2nd line with the Russian kid Khusnutdinov…and sign a power play QB UFA Defenseman!! Unload Elias Lindholm !!

  15. I can’t help but to consider the crossover between weird Swayman coddlers and people who think this is a good idea. Probably a 100% correlation lol. Just when you thought it was impossible to pump this rudderless franchise full of more soft/overpaid crybabies. Good grief. Brad Marchand was a top 5 scoring forward in the league for 6 seasons by PPG at his peak and they kicked him to the curb like it was NOTHING. Jeremy Swayman and Elias Lindholm, 2 of the worst players on the entire team dollar per dollar make more money than Brad Marchand ever saw in his life just to stink at their jobs. These overpaid, underperforming players are the main reason why Marchand was cast aside for a mid pick like chopped liver. Now I’m supposed to be ok with this? LOL

  16. Why ? They would need to move out salary… You realize they only have like 10 players under contract with only 27 mil to pay with right? lol and youre gunna go give one guy 14 of that and then what? youll still need 2 more top 6 forwards fill out the bottom lines and bottom D. with the other 13M… not happening unless thdey move out like Lindholm or Mcavaoy. Why would Marner wanna go to a rebuilding Bruins team…. such a pipe dream.
