I think Vaak is fine on the third pair. Soucy can't skate & is a liability for me. Rangers need to pick up one UFA D or possibly two who are competent in the D-zone. Robertson never gets a legit chance & I think he should. Scrap that insane man on man D scheme!!!! Rangers need a more aggressive forechecking style & dip six that stupid 1-3-1 system which promotes passive hockey. Rangers should also pursue a trade for Byram if they can.
When your top player can't do anything right it's time to dust off the golf clubs and assess who should be gone and this means the team as a whole . Why is it that Lafreniere during a interview still looks exhausted as though he power skated around the ring before heading in.
First change needs to be in the decision makers who turned a successful team into a non playoff contender in just 1 year. GM and coaching staff need to go,
Laffy a major disappointment – bye. Kreider has done much for the team, but sadly is now spent.
Trocheck will rebound. K Miller needs hard work and special coaching – cannot play so far under potential and make alternating great plays with giving up goals on turnovers and stick checking.
Next season needs to be a re-tool year, and don't worry about playoffs. Let the young guns get the experience. PLAY THEM! Get more young talent for the blue line. Get younger!
