Why did the Edmonton Oilers give these pieces away? #nhl #hockey #edmontonoilers

  1. There’s no room for guys like this to thrive with the oilers situation they’re better off and the oilers need experience to win now

  2. The Oilers are going to s*** the bed in the playoffs this year. Which is gonna probably see a huge a** blockbuster trade within the off-season going into next season. I have a huge feeling.
It could be the leafs and oilers. In a blockbuster trade.
    Seeing mcjes, come to Toronto.
I can see that happening.Come on, Toronto is trying to build up talent from the g.t.a usually

  3. I mean, they didn't have enough cap space for the blues offer sheet and be able to sign draisatl, and nurse will probably be taking a big paycut when this contract expires so i don't think they're doing too bad. However they are in the window of prime McDavid and prime draisatl so they better figure something out if they want to win a cup.

  4. Cap issues explain the whole thing of course they weren’t going to get what they are worth especially with nurses contract in the mix still

  5. I agree the Oilers fumbled the bag on Holloway and Broberg, but based on what they have done in the regular season, it makes somehow makes it impossible to win a Stanley Cup this year, how exactly?

  6. Edmonton moved out all of their youth in McLeod, Holloway, and Broberg, to replace them with older players of a lesser pedigree. It’s hard to justify the moves that management made. They should’ve stuck with the roster that took them to within one goal of the Stanley Cup and made minor adjustments on deadline day. Jackson and Bowman blew up this roster after losing the Stanley Cup by ONE goal. Makes 0 sense.
