They ain’t doing it this year, not with the egregious mistake these guys still making and a power play that builds momentum for the shorthanded opposition – K’Andres giveaways. Trochecks turnover that led to the shorthanded goal, Mika’s turnovers – I swear it’s almost like they want to lose
2 full points on the extra effort awards now we need to make the playoffs

2 things here pp is a flat out disaster I'm open to any changes other than Kreider in front and Panarin, this may sound crazy but I think Jonny B should play the kind of where Brayden Point hangs out spotand that little change could make a difference. We need a guy who thinks shot first when you have Fox and Zibby, who in my opinion over pass. I might even move zibby down to 2nd unit and put Perrault in his place so you'd have Panarin and him shooting on each of their strong sides. 2nd unit could use Zibby helping them enter zone since it's pretty much Laffy or bust. Secondly, will Key ever go a game without a bone head pass or decision that leads to A+++ opportunity?
Overall level of the team is low. It is impossible compete against strong teams and all know it. Another one hint of hope before disillusion. It's time to create future NYR. And that is why please, discuss my plan about changes and development of the team. What we have now: 1)this team is no more a contender 2)there are some long and mid term big contracts of aged players 3)lack of high draft picks and top prospects 4)a group of good young players. Having all this now Rangers should develop this way: 1)develop all young players who are in the roster. First of all Laf, Cuylle, Rempe, Laba and Roobroeck – this group of grit players is the only chance to build the Cup winning team within this decade. They should play as much as they can. There are 3 years ahead until Zibanejad and JT Miller can't be traded or bought out. Perfect time to develop youth and get top draft picks 2)Mika and Chris should play in bottom on their positions. They are very good in defensive game. Kreider should end his career in New York. No trade. Vincent should be traded. He is an elite 3rd line center who is still in his prime. Every contender will be happy to get. Then Vincent gets a chance to win the Cup and Rangers get a very good compensation – Win/Win. If Artemiy is good next season, he should be offered a several years contract with 6-7 million salary cap. He will help to develop young players 3)If young players get maximum ice, results will fall down and Rangers will get high draft picks which will be later traded for ready to win players when the core group will be developed and their average age will be around 28(prime age for males) 4)It is necessary to create a line for Alexis and appoint him as a captain. If all this will be done I'm sure that in a 4-5 years we will have a team that really can win the Cup.
