Breaking your leg and still being 9 goals away with 33 goals is wild work. Despite all the hate i have for the caps, im here to support Ovi for his Gr8 Race. We really were lucky to have these two battling against each other all these years.
#J1Q DK! Per the usual, great show and thank you. So who, when, where Valdislov Kolyachonok? I watch/follow this team daily and cannot, for the life of me, remember his acquisition LOL. Good size, mobile/athletic skater, gritty, strong in corners and around the net and boy he uses his frame intelligently. Shoot me straight DK, am I just seeing what I want to see (given the defensive nightmares this season) or is kid kind of impressive? I know he’s no Dumo or Petey, but I really like watching #23 play. Initial thoughts on the young man?

Sid and Ovi went thru a dead puck decade where barely anyone got 100pts in a yr. That hurt their stats

Jarry can’t show up when the team really needs him. The baby pens are in a playoff hunt so of course he plays bad down there. He was called up and sat through Ned getting rocked. Jarry can’t do much worse than that so in a low pressure move he is shining. Everyone is skilled at the highest level. Mental makeup is the difference at the highest level. Jarry has proved over and over again that he is not capable. Best thing for the pens would be he shines and we can move him even if we retain or attach picks to move him.
With only 14 games left…can we bring up he W.B.PENS??..Can we get BABY PENS LINE??? are we developing these kids..or worried about winning the last lottery spot
Jarry is hot now, now need to change goalie. Maybe Jarry plus is stability, he can be bad and good for a long time. Maybe now is good period. Nedeljkovic more is up and down – unstable.
Of course Jarry played well; these games do not matter. If there is no pressure, Jarry plays well. As soon as the games matter, he will fold. The end
Comparing Ovi and Sid when it comes to the records that they are chasing would be comparable to a season where a player, non-steriods, was chasing Hank Aarons homerun record and a player chasing say most seasons with at least 150 hits. Unfortunately, we had Bonds but we did have Derek Jeter. Not in the same year but comparable where it comes to the attention to a record that was looked at unattainable. One is hyped so much, and one is the model of consistency. I say, thank God baseball had Derek Jeter whereas we should thank God hockey has had both, Ovi and Sid!! We have seen two elite, incredible players battling and performing at a level so high for so long. All we should do is appreciate them and revel in the place of history of hockey we are in. the pressure is off. That's probably why he's outstanding right now. Wait till next season when they start fresh he'll be back to his old ways.
It's time to utilize the farm teams
Jarry has always had the physical ability to stop the puck. He doesn't have the mental capability to handle pressure when the team actually needs to win. This has been proven year in and year out.
I agree DK. He has played well but, he will have to continue this type of playing. Jarry will have to be determined and consistent. Thank you DK
The way I see it, if Tristan plays well through the rest of the season, he'll have trade value during the off-season.
I think it's in both the team's and Tristan's interests in moving on from each other.
