    Last 3 times and maybe every time someone beats the goal record it’s in the USA sorry Canadians lol feels like nothing significant ever happens in nhl games in a Canadian barn. Crazy last two times will be in the biggest US cities. LA, and either Newyork or DC

    Truly amazing to see this record surpassed and the great one so graceful and respectful! I’m from the uk and saw Gretzky in 1996 when I saw the Rangers play in NY. That was also amazing and unforgettable.

    People forget he had to wait a whole year after he was drafted because of the lockout. Plus two more shortened seasons later in his career. He’d easily be at or above 1000 goals by now. Incredible.

    think about it – 894 goals is AVERAGING 44.7 goals a season for TWO DECADES – most NHL players would be stoked to hit 50 goals ONCE in their career – very few do that – Ovi did it almost 20 straight seasons in a row
