   His back skate hit the boards and kicked his leg into his other skate, which caused, what I'm assuming, is a laceration on his knee, and he knew something was wrong immediately…

   It's possible he accidentally sliced a tendon or his muscle, but they had to take him to emergency right away, which means a laceration did indeed take place.

   Best case scenario, it was JUST a laceration and he's out a couple weeks. Worst case scenario… he cut important tissue and he's out the rest of the year.

    Update: He cut his thigh with his own skate. I've never seen that before, so unlucky :(( wish him the best

    kid almost lost his leg, thankfully doctors got him to the Montreal General and was operated on immediately out for the year. Hope for a speedy recovery, severe laceration of his quad.
