Did we expect anything different from this team? They just need to press the restart button. They can start that by getting rid of Lou.
Isles looked like they have accepted their fate and last night was just awful . Losing corner battles , at times in own end looked like a pee wee team chasing puck around . This team has no physicality! I just hope they can find some guys to bring in for next season ! Thank you ! LGI !

Good 🌄, Gil. How are you? The Islanders stumbled out of the blocks AND GOT STRUCK BY by 🌩 AGAIN. It was a bad 🌙 all-around. Living proof that THOSE WHO DON'T LEARNED FROM THEIR MISTAKES ARE OFTEN DOOMED TO REPEAT THEM. The Isles had elite players like Smitty, Boss, Trots, Jethro, and Denny, ALL HOFers, and except for Jethro, were 🐐. Patrick Roy said that Anthony was horrible. When he said it, I hope he said it to push his buttons. The Barry Trotz era, as well as the Al Arbour era way before him, was DEFENSE, DEFENSE, DEFENSE. Hero, Bo Horvat, for scoring the only goal. 🐐, COMMUNITY EFFORT ON BOTH SIDES. Sit out some of the guys that aren't playing well due to injuries. Bring the kids up from Bridgeport so they can get their feet wet in the NHL. No change in Bridgeport. HAPPY 🎂, SHAWN BATES. He scored on a penalty shot that turned out to be the GW goal against The Maple 🍁. Hear from you later, Gil. I enjoyed Game 3 of '75 Preliminary Round against the dreaded Rangers. Listening to JP scoring that winning goal against Eddie Giacomin was so nice. Also, I was a podcast on Lighthouse 🏒 featuring Trots' rookie season. After the 1st of many big 🌙 against the 🤴, the Isles were in Boston the next 🌙. Phil Esposito was saying how this one guy (Trots) was working his last nerve by holding him all 🌙. The game ended in a tie, but Esposito found out that this kid was a pain, and would be until the day he called it quits. Now, LET'S GO ISLANDERS.

Patrick Roy is absolutely right about Duclair. He's been God awful. Not only has he been personally bad, but he's bringing down the guys who are playing on his line. I would play Martin over him no questions asked. Maybe he doesn't have the speed of duclair, but at least he's gonna win some puck battles. And he's definitely gonna bring some physicality to the game. That alone is more then what the duke is giving us right now. But I agree if they're just gonna concede this season? Then yeah let's give some guys from Bridgeport a little playing time. Got nothing to lose at this point!
Bring up Chris Terry.
Pelech was clearly the GOAT of the game. He is completely lost. If I had my druthers, I would shed Pelech/Pulock/Mayfield (hopefully 2 of the 3) in the offseason. As for the F's, JG HAS to GO!!! McLean, Fasching, Martin, absolutely need to go as well. Palms should be a 3rd liner. Duke is immoveable, he should be on third line as well. Need injection of youth, speed and grit.
The Islanders line-up is just not there. Let's be honest. Compared to Tampa, who is NY's Kucherov? How about Point? Even Guentzel. You do the same with Toronto. Who is their Matthews or Marner or Nylander? The NY line-up is so weak in comparison. Do the same with the Panthers too. Yikes!!

Afternoon Gil, I’m all for calling the some bport players. Yes, mathematically it’s not over but mentally for us the fans and it’s seems like for some players it’s over. The plus side is I’m heading to the game vs the Caps so maybe Ovi breaks the record verse us
Islanders have next to zero talent compared to the upper tier teams! Sorokin can’t score Goals. I pray our pick is in the top 10! I pray Dobson is traded for a 1 st round pick as well in the top 10! The old guys have to be replaced! A new GM and completely new coaching staff needed! Lou had opportunities to deal at the deadline and didn’t! It is on Lou! Time for a complete overhaul! Younger, Bigger, Faster, Stronger, more Talented!!! Duke and Mayfield for buy outs! Time to revamp!

Hi Gil, it’s been a little while. I’ll be in touch moving forward my friend. I want to thank you for your tireless efforts and pure professionalism and for always getting back to us fans. I certainly hope this marks the end of the Louless era. Worse thing that happened were those two deceiving runs in shortened seasons. It’s time to turn a new leaf and say goodbye to the past. It’s been three straight years of giving away pucks and getting hemmed in our zone—-of blowing 3rd period leads. This to me, was the year of being taken advantage of with no responses. Gourd felt Casey was out of line for what he did to Kucherov and made him answer the bell. Where has that been for us all year? We’ve been concussed, run at, slammed face first to boards and nothing. Pellech and Pullock look shot! Mayfield is terrible. Dobson in his end is just awful. Lee, JG have got to go. There is some hope with the kid from Colorado and Eiserman on the horizon, along with a couple more young kids knocking on the door but until Louless is gone—-we’re cooked. If he stays, I totally expect Lee and Jg resigned, as utterly ridiculous as that sounds. I totally expect as is for Dobson to get 8 times 8 and that would be a colossal mistake. We know it’s now finally over and hopefully we can keep losing and get a real nice pick. It was a very uninspiring hockey season and unless changes are made, I can’t see next year any better. I live and die with this team because of my childhood memories. I’ve never seen a team so badly assembled, slow and old, with zero protection. I’ll be in touch Gil, Ty again for all you do!

Sorry Duc got called out like that. He can't skate..I'm pretty sure it's a torn muscle or something. They should shut him down and let him heal or let him move on. Tampa is playing as well as anybody and IMO Cooper and Maurice are the best coaches in the league. For the Rangers they just plucked Perrault from the Frozen Four and put him right in the game tonight and on the power play…the Isles don't have that except for Eiserman who I hope will be in camp. Yeah I hope they move on from Lou also.
Re tool the team I do like Roy as a coach and I believe it should be his team to make had a lot of bad luck this year injuries but changes are needed and I think Lou should step down.
Good morning team! Gil, time to put my ideas for this team in motion. Take every player associated with the NY Islander's organization and hold a test for all players. Speed will be the easiest and fastest way to make the Islander roster. Except for Sorokin and Hogberg, all other players make the roster by being the fastest of the fast on the ice. The fastest players on the ice makes the NY Islander roster, regardless of stick handling or scoring. These players have been playing since the age of 3. I'm sure they know how to handle the puck, but do they possess SPEED on the ice. Having the fastest team on the ice will be fun to watch! Everything else comes down to coaching. If these fast players don't produce wins, then it is the fault of the coaching staff. Everyone on the roster gets a one year, one million dollar contract. Perform well, and get bonus that increases your salary. Perform poorly, and be held accountable and possibly cut. There it is in a nutshell. The secret is now out. Come on guys, this will be one EXCITING team to watch! See you all next time. Let's Go Islanders!!
