The Montreal Canadiens can make NHL History by being one of the youngest teams ever to make the post-season. Here is how they have put themselves in that position.

  1. This is one of the best analysis I have ever seen, well done. Love the way you break down all the subtleties, positioning & puck battles. It's the little things that make everything possible. Keep it up!

  2. Crazy part about Suzuki is that people consider him not a #1 center and he has Barkov's number in all 4 games against Florida, who is btw a Selke winner and #1 center. That's definitely enough for a consideration for a number 1 center and also top 10 in center scoring?

  3. Just watching how this team plays and connects with each other these last two games in comparison to other teams… they have an impressive gameplan. If they fix the mistakes they're making (which come through practice and experience), they can definitely be a dominant team within a few years.

  4. the beautiful irony is that Suzuki is as good a sniper as Caufield and Caufield has excellent hockey IQ and passing ability

  5. I’ve been saying Nick Suzuki’s play and iq reminds me of Sasha Barkov. This video confirms that with the play by play breakdowns

  6. As a Sens fan I'm glad there's no scenario in which we face the Habs in the first round. They could upset anyone they face

  7. Once again your research and video analysis is exceptional! Sportsnet could really use your skills bro! I enjoy your content, thanks for putting in the hours to give us excellent recaps!

  8. You talk about the Hutson's +/- not being a factor, but I'd have to disagree with your assessment. While the +/- isn't the end-all-do-all in hockey stats, it is an indicator. The factor of his negative score comes at the hest of the empty net, isn't one of the jobs of those on the ice when the goalie is pulled to provide the extra protect for the net knowing it's empty? Don't get me wrong, Lane is a great hockey player. As a Caps fan, I can't wait to see how his brother Cole does when he makes it to the show. Considering Lane's prowess, I expect Cole will hold his own, if for no other reason than to not live in his brother's shadow (I think it's great the Caps also have Ilya Protas in the wings as well!).

  9. NGL its almost a shame this team is good this year and they don't get another high draft pick to add to the core. (not sure what their picks look like this year) Demidov is coming though

  10. The habs are not done with the rebuild, yet they are getting looks at being one of the best team in the NHL. They still need a strong 2C, a elite goalie and some depth in the bottom 6.
i said Slaf would be a monster in 2-3 years and he really is taking a step towards that. he just turned 21 weeks ago!
