The Buffalo Sabres beat the Ottawa Senators 5-2 on April 3, 2025. The Sabres ended the first with a 2-0 lead, with Alex Tuch scoring on a rebound and Rasmus Dahlin scoring on a one-timer. Buffalo kept the lead going in the second, with Tage Thompson scoring his 39th of the season on a pass from JJ Peterka. While Ottawa managed to get one back, Peyton Krebs notched Buffalo’s fourth of the night early in the third. Despite a second Ottawa goal, Ryan McLeod scored an empty netter in the third to bring the final score to 5-2. James Reimer made 35 saves in the matchup.

  2. Optimus Reims is on a winning streak now!! Glad I met him twice this season! I knew this veteran star goaltender had a chance to play and he's firing up!! And Tage Thompson is getting close to 40 goals again! And it was so funny that Dylan Cozens just let us score 2 times in the game lol 😂 First he stood in the crease and didn't do anything to get the puck and Tuch found it and Cozey accidentally passed it to his former teammate Peyton Krebs and that's the best April Fools Day of the game that we have done! Great job fellas keep it up!!!
