While Rod said the caps really have no reason to play, and he didn't think this game would set the tone for the final game and post season. I dont disagree in principal, but when the caps keep losing and all the talk of them not making it far even with their consistency throughout the season, then a win against the canes would have really been "we ARE the best in the metro". With the canes maintaining an 8-2-0 win rate recently, I wouldn't be suprised if Carolina starts getting talked about and rated higher.
When is Tom Wilson not a baby? If there were an award for the biggest baby in the league, He would be the winner every year lol. He doesn't like us, and I certainly don't like him. Hope I'm not alone. Als,o some crazy Caps fan told me I would kill to have Tom on the Canes gave me a good chuckle
Do I think Jalen Chatfield should have be suspended? Yes. Do I think he deserves it? No. There's no precedent for what Chatfield did. Like you said he was in survival mode and in the heat of the moment you're not going to think about how dangerous something like that take down was. However…. if there were precedent for it it could've been in the back of his mind and he might not have done it. The most fair thing to do is for the NHL to announce a rule for it now so players may be a little less aggressive on take downs.
