11 minutes last night… yup he should be centering Hughes and Guentzle
Larkin > jt miller every day of every year.
He'll be used more in the game against Canada, and Sweden..The coach was saving his legs.
Nah save him to help the Wings make the playoffs 😅
No
Dude, it's ONE GAME! Maybe they're saving him for the championship game.
Yeah, probably. But that’s fine with me. If Larkin misses ANY amount of games during the playoff push…well…we already know how that ends. And let’s be honest, who are you going to bump down the lineup? Eichel? Matthews? Come on. Larkin is a good player, but not even close to the guys at the top.
It’s just weird that he played 11 minutes in a 6-1 game. I guess because it was 1-1 through two periods. It’s not like the US was up 5-1 after two periods. That’s what I’m worried about…if the US is blowing someone out and then they give the 3rd and 4th lines more ice time, and then Larkin gets hurt or some BS. We all saw Shea Theodore get injured…I’m sure VGK aren’t thrilled about that.
He is awesome.
He wins a cup he’s a first or 2nd line Center in national games
Who cares. It's a pointless exhibition that isn't even best on best.
Him not being on one of the two powerplays was disrespectful.
I dont care, I want him back home and scoring goals!
Best PP scorer isn’t on the PP? Horrible coaching.
They won 6-1. Underutilized is a stretch. If they lose to Canada. Sure change it up maybe slot him up. But idk who you’d bother to move down to slide him up.
As long as he’s healthy for a playoff run, that’s the most important thing. Raymond skated off the ice against Canada the other night and I was like holy Toledo….
The league doesn't want anything to do with Detroit. Seider isn't even getting any consideration for the Norris, NHL News battle when mentions the Wings and Larkin is absolutely better than either Upchuck brother, but the league is still showcasing them. That's okay. Minimize ice time in a tournament that's not really important at all–save it for the payoff push and MAKE the league talk about Dylan Larkin through his game play.
We have a rough schedule so im ok with larkin in 4th line so i can see him play a bit but also be healthy and less exhausted
ask that question after us v. canada. thanks.
Yes
I think it’s difficult to say if he’s being underutilized. It’s easy for Wings fans to say he is, but we also watch him all the time. There’s other teams in the NHL with players that are just as skilled, or even more so, than Larkin. I still think he looked good and showed his strength in the time he did play.
USA USA USA
absolutely. Sullivan making decisions based on rep and not performance. that being said I'm happy to have Larkin rested for the games that actual matter – getting into the playoffs.
Yes no Yes? So much talent on USA it's understandable, not everyone is getting 20 minutes. I'm just saying dude's $$$ on the Power Play.
coming back to this after the game tonight is funny, nice to see him prove himself. (not that he had to)
Well he didnt look injured tonight, was the best player on the ice in less minutes than the twerp that got the first star, played pk, and made crosby look like a dufus😅😅😅.
He got his opportunity and ran with it. The tourney has been fantastic and now Finland has the opportunity to do something hilarious.
Yes he is. Showed it last night: game breaking goal and assist on the empty netter. I will never understand why people continue to undervalue Larks. Not to mention the guy is absolute class and business.
Only morons watch 4 nations
