  1. Whatever happens in the playoffs, I won't be disappointed. This has been one of the most fun seasons as a fan in my life. Really reminds me of the 2011-2012 Blues season. Young team finally starting to gel and can make some noise.

  2. Calgary losing to Utah last night also was huge. Calgary and Vancouver have each played two fewer games than the Blues. If they each win both games the leads are only 3 and 4 points with plenty of games left. Interesting though is the slump of Minnesota as they have had a couple very good players injured but coming back soon. This is like the Cardinals pennant race of 1964. Not over yet. I feel good because of the Blues goalies. If the Blues stay hot no team will want to play the Blues. They also have excellent goaltending. This mirrors 2019.

  3. The difference between this year and 2019 is this run is totally unexpected. We knew that the 2019 team could be a top playoff team if they just played up to their potential. We thought we had another 2 years before the Blues could be a playoff contender again. Its really nice to see a team jump ahead in their timeline.

  4. Don't know crap about Hockey other than you get a point when the puck goes in the net? But here's a 👍for content! PS……Oliver Marmol is still the worst "Coach" in the Majors! 🤣👎

  5. It is amazing how much young talent this team has. Army has set us up for a 5-7 year window of great teams.

And we still have Binny as the X factor.

To me he’s basically the goalie version of Chris Carpenter. He doesn’t always have the best stats, but if you need to win one game you wouldn’t want anyone else playing.

He shines in the biggest moments.

Also Robby Tommy has been there before too, and now healthy, he is legit one of the 5 best all around forwards in hockey.

    Good stuff Bernie,

    LGB!!

  6. The under the radar aspect to the team that has a lot of similarities to the cup winning team is the defense. The Blues defense has been one of the best, if not the best in the NHL since Mongomery took over. It's a very deep, experienced squad that can shut down most teams.

  7. Blues beat the Ducks in March 2019 by scoring 2 goals in 12 seconds to come back in a game they were down by 1 in the final 10 minutes. Blues beat the Preds in March 2025 by scoring 2 goals in 22 seconds to come back in a game they were down by 1 in the final 10 minutes.

  8. Bernie – long time no talk, good man – nice to see you in this format although you need fix the lighting matrix, lol – warm it up, dude! The Blues turnaround feels very similar to '19; it's great that Schenn is still here, along with Thomas and Kyrou (and Binner) to connect that history to this influx of badass talent under 24 years old.

I will be following you throughout the playoffs….nice to get your thoughts on the Blues as Scoops is all Cardinals (and their issues) all the time!

Keep up the good work, Bern

  9. Awesome Bernie, can't wait to see where this goes as well.. The future is bright for the Blues!

  10. The difference in this team from before the break and now is stunning! Monty just needed a break in the schedule to lockdown some practice time to build their structure. They are dominant! Lockdown structure with Parayko returning. Buckle up boys!
What a time to be a Blues fan. I firmly believe We’re looking at 4 or 5 years of cup runs.

  11. What we get here is a major play off contender. If not, it’s a glimpse of what the future holds for this team. Great drafting and development pays off.

  12. 19:40 Years ago when our ratio of seasons in the league to post season appearances was even better, I looked it up and found that the only team with a better ratio was Montreal. Then I realized the stat included a bunch of early NHL years where there were only 2 or 3 teams in the league, basically giving the Habs an artificially high post season appearance percentage. Nobody talks about it, but the Blues never spend more than a few consecutive seasons out rebuilding, and they very rarely rebuild.
