Has Elias Pettersson played his LAST GAME for the Vancouver Canucks?

It’s the story arc that no one saw coming.

Elias Pettersson took the NHL by storm and appeared to be the type of forward that could lead the Vancouver Canucks to their first Stanley Cup.

Now? He might not play again this season….or potentially ever for the Canucks again.

What are the odds that Pettersson has played his last game for the Canucks? Beggsy breaks that down, updates on other Canucks, and dives into the pros and cons from the Canucks current makeup on the latest episode of Locked On Canucks.

  1. I still wonder what would have been if Petey was on IR the whole month of march 2024 ? Getting rested instead of playing through tentinitis. Was it him or the club that wanted him to play. I say he should have rested and maybe his injury wouldn’t stayed so long.

  2. It’s not so clear yet if EP40 has played his last game with the Canucks. That said, he’s been so notoriously inconsistent, it is currently out on an injury stint, that pretty much anything goes on when, or even if, he will play another game for the Canucks or another NHL team.

  3. Retain 30% of Pettersson and trade him for Jack Hughes. They would both be 8m AAV. Both are injury prone with similar offensive stats. At least we would be getting a guy averaging well over 250 shots per season and can skate just as good as Quinn, if not better.

  4. I saw this coming 6+ months ago. Been saying he's going to be traded before July 1st for at least 3 months. Boeser is also going to be playing for a different team next season. Nearly $20 million for next season depth!

  5. I think he's gone. Especially if Tocchet is back a head coach. I think loosing Millsy was a bit of a blow to Tocchet. Whatever it is with Pettersson #40 best to cut bait and get a decent return. If he finds his game, well good for him

  6. Vancouver needs young dynamic young management team Jim Rutherford is too old. The guy can barely walk how can in hell this old man manage a NHL team. Hockey is a fast paced young men's game. Kick Rutherford and Allvins ass out of Vancouver Canucks. Let loser Tocchet go and rot in another team. Kick Peterson's ass too. These are losers. I feel sorry for suffering Vancouver Canuck fans. Boycot Canucks games. Watch canucks games on TV for free. Less heartache for die hard fans. Do not buy season tickets next season. Enough losing in Vancouver for donkeys years. Save your money Vanccouver fans. Quinn Hughes ask for a trade – why play for losers?
