Connor Bedard’s entry into the NHL has brought a refreshing mix of humility, dedication, and savvy choices that extend beyond his skill on the ice. After signing a $13 million contract, his first splurge was a cookbook and apron rather than luxury items, highlighting his practical, grounded approach to fame. While his performance has revived enthusiasm for the Chicago Blackhawks, increasing ticket sales and driving merchandise demand, Bedard’s focus remains on his game and personal growth.

Despite being the league’s most popular rookie, Bedard’s lifestyle contrasts with the typical sports star persona. He lives in a modest apartment, cooks simple, nutritious meals, and follows a strict diet, famously never having eaten fast food. His disciplined routine includes extra training sessions and a commitment to skill-building, qualities his teammates admire. Even in his sponsorships, Bedard stays true to his roots, partnering with brands like Lululemon, which he already favored for their comfort and practicality.

Beyond the rink, Bedard’s down-to-earth style and commitment to community resonate strongly. He turned down lucrative fast food endorsements, choosing instead to represent causes like Hockey Gives Blood, a reflection of his values. Although his fame has opened doors to endorsements with Hyundai, CIBC, and Fanatics, Bedard remains focused on maintaining his authenticity and staying close to his family. With aspirations not only to excel in hockey but to give back, Bedard’s journey has only begun. He’s quickly proving to be more than a top prospect; he’s setting a new standard for what it means to be a professional athlete in today’s world.

  2. hawks are arguably the worst team in the league right now and real hawks fan are not patient and are not happy, regardless of this kids ability – score more goals and win more games, then you deserve a YTube bit

  3. I’m a Blackhawks fan and I have season tickets and zero Blackhawk fans lose interest

  4. you forgot to mention IRS takes 50% of his annual income before before it even reaches him . . .
you forgot to mention the state of Illinois gets their slice of his annual income, 4.96% , . . .
you forgot to mention he's also filing/paying taxes IN Canada, . . .
you forgot to mention, like most other athletes, he's also paying state taxes for away or road games, . . .
you forgot to mention his representatives take their 4% of anything related to his salary or endorsements, annually, . . .
you forgot to mention his annual premiums for life insurance and long term disability insurance plans NHL players acquire while the play . . .
also important to remember this kid isn't highly educated, at best a high school graduate, and he comes from a strong family background. . .

but yeah, hang your hat on the clickbait title of a $13 mill contract . . . hmmmm, spam, or misleading content?

  5. Bedard has a 13million contract but he hasn’t hit the type B 2.5million/szn performance bonus for the 2 seasons. so he can only get max 8million
