  1. Montembault has been garbage since day 1 , everyone overrated him, Hughes should of gotten a ready to play no.1 goalie, next mistake is keeping St.Louis as head coach , he was great to start a new young Habs roster to development but now we need a proven head coach that can win , St.Louis will be eventually a good coach but not now.

  2. Do you guys actually believe anything Laraque says ? The guys is an absolute moron!

  3. I don’t think Montembault is as bad as what people are saying . Overall nhl goaltending isn’t what it used to be anymore and habs zone defence is the worst in the league .
Seems like people are expecting him to be as good as Price was and that just isn’t going to happen .
I would get rid of Primeau and give Hughes or Dobes a try .

  4. Hugo don;t want to win, Monty is the perfect goalie for that, he is chaep and on a short contract. Fowler and Volokhin will be here in a few years, hopefully 1 of them pans out. And don;t say Askarov, he is in the minors and nashville asked for fowler

  5. re build is going fine , leave Montembault in net , 2025 another top player .

  6. Way too small a sample size this year on Primeau IMO.

Dobeš is in ready now and will be up next year. I think Fowler will be in AHL next year. 26/27 it’s Dobeš and Fowler

  7. George L is literally the worst source if you are going to make videos based on him please just close your channel

  8. Agree on goaltending – should have kept Allen – also should have kept Kovacevic (currently +10 on season) – none of Habs' D-men have a + rating

  9. Primeau wasn’t and won’t be good. Too late to trade him. Overrated is Sam. Come on, who in their right mind thinks that these two hosers have a shot to make a team a contender.

  10. Habs haven't had a good goaltender since Carey Price. They had some good prospects in their organization, however they never got the time to p l ay because Price was being paid soo much that they had to play him every game. I'm almost 70 I don't recall the habs having NO GOALIES.

  11. Not at all Habs will have a top 3 pic maybe even number 1 pic all is good watch the Laval Rockets for a well coached team learning how to win watch the Habs and enjoy a badly coached team and enjoy the ride to a top pic

  12. The Habs are playing decent for a junior team. They are not in NHL caliber yet. They still need some tinkering and growing up to do. As far as the goaltending goes, I see the tandem of Monty and Primeau as stepping stones to someone or something better. Mind you, there are some goalies in the system that I believe the management is waiting to see how they pan out. All in all, a long tenure of a rebuild taking place. There are still several years to go until they make a serious splash.

  13. Just 2 big mistakes…it's like history repeating itself.I really thought the management team might be able to stand up the Montreal Media …but they slso folded like a 2 dollar card table. The gutys are not playing not having any fun as a team or care..which Is even worse.

  14. Danault and Lehkonnen were the forwards I wanted to keep, Lindgren was the goalie we had that I preferred, and I would have have hung onto Romanov and Sergachev oh and Kovacevic and Harris.
All those boats have sailed. I don't think anyone believed Montembault or Primeau were/are the long term solution for Montreal.
Gibson is also obviously not the solution. Askarov would have been a nice attempt.
Jake Allen was never going to be the guy. This rebuilding team didn't/doesn't have to have a good tandem in place. The main problem has been the defensive play. Which is again going to be bad until they figure out which of these prospects is actually an NHL defenseman and which is going to be worse once they trade Savard.
No Montreal isn't at a point in their development where they need to be sure of the tandem.

The hope is one of Dobes,Hughes, Fowler will eventually be the guy.

  15. nah. If you watch the games, yeah he was mehh a few games, but the defense and the systeme is absolutely awful. ridiculously bad. put hellebuck and shesterkin in there and they look average at best. Montembault is not the next price. But if the team plays somewhat decent, he is a decent nhl caliber goaltender. Also, look at the goal save above expected, montembault was really good the last two years and this year he's average. Tonight against the leafs he allowed 4 goals… he was not bad at all, the team gives up on him.

  16. Allen is playing at his average. Montambeault is a bit lower, around .900. Primeau should in theory be able to play like last year, maybe even better. He does not have confidence because he is not used with confidence. So it's in his head mostly, probably.
The reason they don't perform is because the defense does not. Too many high chances that are just ridiculous. A guy like Primeau needs a good defense in the slot, otherwise he is not that good.

  17. Earlier this summer I commented that we can't really judge how good of a GM Kent Hughes really is yet because he hasn't tried to win yet. Was he really trying to win this season? My guess is no. I think he's still content with letting the chips fall where they may. Was he expecting it to go better, probably, but I doubt he'll try to do anything to correct it mid season.
