Hated the Frost/Farabee trade. Not so much that they traded them, but the return was so paltry. Calgary was desperate for scoring and believe they had multiple first round picks this year and next and a pretty good prospect pool. I can't believe a better return couldn't have been negotiated. Understand the cap space being freed up, but you can't trade away two middle six forwards for a second and a third. And Torts was giving Deslaurier more minutes than Pelletier. And Kuzmenko played well on the power play and provided some scoring and they give him away for a third…..whole trade was questionable and we'll never know but Torts was likely behind it. Although given his desire to win, the return made no sense if making the team immediately better was Torts' desire.

I don’t understand the guy in the bottom middle saying he thought they should’ve bought the year Walker was traded. I know you’re speaking upon a backup goalie, top 4 defseman etc… but it goes to show no one is paying attention. Brieres first day he said “WE ARE REBUILDING” but then everyone acts like him selling at the deadline is a shock… he’s the only GM out of the last 3 to take a rebuild seriously
