When it rains it pours for the New York Islanders. The team now has both Mathew Barzal and Anthony Duclair on LTIR. Adam Pelech will miss 4-6 weeks with an upper body injury and he is on IR and Alexander Romanov and Mike Reilly are day to day with their own injuries.

Word is louzer is scouring the trade market looking for a cheap depth d man. This after uhc ran into injuries on d and acquired maata from wings on a cheap last year deal for cheap because hc had a plethora of picks plus plenty of cap space to do that. Something louzer leaves no contingency plan for as injuries kick isles ass. Rags played with isles once again winning easy 5-2 as pk give up another goal. 29 scores the line that has to do the scoring for a long while now. The good news is isles finally got a g from 4th line 53 even tho 53 was playing on 3rd line with useless 18 throwing in an a on the goal. This after barely holding on the beat just as lousy sabres on fri. The east will eventually separate itself-haves from have nots. Isles looking like serious have nots as injuries hit with no recourses except to call up fringe ahl players since isles have no grade A guys to call up to fill a spot like most teams would do. Good job louzer. And 3 with all those years remaining can't stay healthy anymore. Just a matter of time before 6, 24, and 21 join the injury parade.

You're right Gill. The LAST thing we need is all these injuries kick starting another Yoda fantasy about this core getting healthy and winning it all next year. All these injuries are a sign of how hard these guys are playing but still can't get it done. Roy came in last year and the team got a healthy bump, but it's been the opposite this year. More offensive chances but lacking the extra move to finish. Unless Yoda gets lucky and finds 2 or 3 D-men to sign to minimum contracts, we should just go all out trying to develop our limp prospects up here and pray, pray, pray.

Good 🌄, Gil how are you? First, DuClair , now Barzy, both out for at least until🎄. Patrick Roy put Bouldoc in notice after he messed up during the last 🌙 gane at the Garden. The Islanders are next to last in goal scoring, and if it weren't for The Flyers, they'd be last in their division. They've got to do tighten up on defense, and they could bring up somebody from Bridgeport so he can s kind of NHL experience. The Islanders split this weekend. They beat Buffalo 4-3 and even got a PP goal. The injury to Mike Reilly was scary when he hit his head on the ice. Then they went to the Garden and lost to those dreaded Rangers. For me the question is whether we can make a trade that obviously makes us better this season but more importantly next season
Good morning team! Gil, I'm at a loss of words about what is happening to the team at this point. Glad we pulled together and got a win over Buffalo. That was very much needed. Except for the shorthanded opportunities the Rangers had, I'm pretty satisfied with the way the team played the game, all things considered. Time will tell about how we'll play against the rest of the league. We have the Penguins tomorrow, and no matter how either team is performing, games against the Penguins always seem to be hard fought games. My daughter Jessica’s school, booker T Washington junior high school 🏫 city champs in soccer ⚽️ for the third year in a row. A nice comeback from the soccer girls down 3 to 1 with time running out. Won 🏆 in a shootout 5 to 4 unbelievable game and beat Baruch junior high school 🏫. Scotty’s softball 🥎 team won the championship yesterday in a 3 game series. Scotty started 0 for 6 but had not played in a few weeks and ended 7 for 7 and last time up hit a blast 💥 over the left fielder head for a home run. It’s a shame when you can only get a championship with your children. Gil, the Islanders were going nowhere anyway. Bottom line they need to start all over enjoy your day!in

Islanders are stuck in a terrible predicament. They don’t really have the prospects to really trade which leads me to the second issue. They need their draft To rebuild and replenish the minors. So now what? Do you really wanna make a trade to make this team that is now really bad to OK so we could back into the playoffs again or just write it out and shoot for that first round pick for the number one pick which I would rather do. I would rather watch them tank get a top pic and see Lou go at the end of the season that would make suffering this season so worth it
Lou needs to get the hell out of town so the rebuild can start because he is bad has killed the islanders where they are terribly barely average.
As usual Gil, I agree with every word you say couldn’t have said it better. I’d rather see them struggle with some youth, then watch these overpaid vets like Engvall collect the check and do nothing.

Hi Gil! Let’s just wait to free up some $$$ We made a mistake not replacing the sandpaper line that was shot but would still hit as often as they could. We made a mistake not getting a young mean enforcer. We had limited talent to begin with—-so I guess Louless has yet another year to bring it back, while fans hide their faces in paper bags yet again! It’s one thing to not have talent but we’re getting badly pushed around and losing players. If we had a Grubranson or Kostin or both, this crap would not be happening. Pisses me off the Devs have Macdermid and Dillon. Caps have Macilrath and Wilson. Rags have Rempke when called up and Carrick. There is no excuse to ice a very soft hitting, old and defenseless hockey team with no bite to their game that can’t defend themselves. I don’t think Roy approves of a washed up slow Matty. Can’t even let the kids play because Louless won’t bring them up, unless it’s a dire case. Gil, I bet those kids see what happened to Ishikov (their leading point scorer) I believe last year and say to themselves, “Why bother to bust my hump” with how Ish was treated? We won’t be able to lure good young players because of Lou and his bullshit and we’re left with settling for over 30 soon to be has beens looking for their last 3/4 year contract. This is no way to run a professional franchise. It’s beating a dead horse and listening to a broken record. Ps—-we know they are trying and actually outplayed the Rags but even a water gun can catch ya in the eye real good once in a while. How does one deal with the rash of injuries? Prepare for next year(s), trade for young talent and draft picks…. If you can’t do that, drop salary commitments that aren’t the future. Adjust ticket prices and promote watching the future play.
Classic Dobson's big give away in the Rangers game, seems like when he is under pressure he coughs up the puck, lots of injuries on a mediocre team could have us out of any chance to make the playoffs by Christmas. They need to pick up some cheap fill in players and hope that they completely over perform.
Dobson is vastly overrated. The title of his position has the word "Defense" in it and he plays absolutely none.
When is the this team going to wake up and start to build for the future ? Even if everything goes perfectly their ceiling is a playoff round win but nothing more.

Gil it's a joke we've really got no choice right now to give a pick or 2 and grab a player or 2 but I highly doubt lou will do that bc your pics have to be amazing
