Does know about the Blues, but you can definitely count on the Cardinals to lose……and often
I had a lumbar problem about a week back.
Randy, I somewhat understand what you're saying about Mikolas, but I do not totally agree because he needs to do way more than just show up & pitch innings. There's no great reason that I know of that should allow Mikolas to not be more accountable than that. Understand that if he has anywhere near a 5.35 ERA, then that means that he needs to pitch less often & less innings from a Winning baseball games perspective and TEAM perspective because it's too hard for the offense to score 6-7+ runs when he pitches just to secure the Win!
I am happy for the Cards but still wish Mc Greevy was a starter and Pallante in the bullpen or even eventually Liberatore if he does not do well after a month. Great start for the Cards and Matz was great yesterday from the bullpen. I hope Matz does well there and the bullpen keeps him healthier. So many good things to say about the Blues but the key is Jordan Binnington (also Hofer). Binnington is streaky but still the best Blues goalie ever. He was the difference in 2019 and again in the 2022 playoffs until the Kadri incident likely took away a second cup. Binnington is going from saving Canada to saving the Blues. I listened to the Avs announcers after the game. They agree it is Binnington.
I'm running behind listening & might not be able to listen to entire podcast, but in reference to a player always wanting to play irregardless of overall production & WAR & OPS+ & Runs scored etc., Yadier Molina played way too much from a Winning baseball games perspective and TEAM perspective the way I see it. I wanted the Cardinals front office to properly upgrade the overall catcher position many years ago so the Cardinals TEAM wouldn't continue to rank so badly in so many stats compared to many other catchers in MLB.
