This team can’t beat the Anaheim Ducks right now. Oilers are NOT a contender as of right now… I doubt we can beat the Kings. My prediction this team struggles to finish 3rd in the division and gets beat by LA in 5.
Jack I don’t know how you can spin this so positively. They have defence who don’t like to defend, a goalie that doesn’t like stopping pucks, and small slow depth players that don’t hit except the new guy who is hurt haha
Regardless of how good the defence and forwards are, it’s still goaltending that’s been their problem, imo Oilers should’ve brought on a third goalie with a .910 sv% or better, both Pickard and Skinner sv% has been going down since the Christmas break.
At the start of the season, I never would have predicted that Corey Perry would be the only overachiever on this roster lol. I guess you can maybe include Leon as well but Leon is performing to his current contract at a good level

I like the team, if Kane hits mid playoff form quickly say second round and Skinner can give them .915 throughout the playoffs they should win it all.

I don't think Oilers did bad, they didn't pull a COLORADO. Oilers address two needs, defense and physicality, if everyone plays good we have a shot.
