  1. To me the season prior to the goalie changeup was dragging. However once Wedgewood and the Blackwood came in it reinvigorated my enthusiasm

  2. I feel like people idolize the 2022 team and make it seem better than it was. Don't get me wrong it was a fantastic team, but in my opinion it wasn't so much that they were deep as it was a lot of players on that team were playing at least one level above what you would normally expect them to play.

Kadri for example, wasn't playing like a 2C, but like a 1C and having a career year. Compher was playing like a 2C, etc.

On top of that, our defensive system was so tight that even with Kuemper playing basically average, the team was unstoppable.

This year it's almost the reverse. We have a player who is capable of being a 1C playing as 2C. Our 3C could be a 2C. And our 4C could be a 3C.

In other words, we actually have way better depth this year than during the cup year. Our defense is lacking a little bit but we also have a better goaltending tandem so long as Blackwood doesn't experience a major drop off in the playoffs.
