Feather in the cap | The Leaf: Blueprint Moment

The Toronto Maple Leafs added another feather to their cap with a 3-2 win over the Anaheim Ducks in Orange County. It was a hard-fought battle, with Joseph Woll making 31 saves in the victory. Ultimately, the fourth line came up big, with Steven Lorentz scoring the game-winning goal and earning himself the belt.

  4. A win is a win but last night was an ugly win anyway you look at it. The Leafs have a disturbing trend of being outshot in considerable more games than they outshoot their opponents. And last night's game with the lowly Ducks was no exception. Being outshot so often only means one thing: they spend more time in their own zone defending than in the o-zone. Plain and simple. Great teams (those that have Stanley Cup aspirations don't have this distinction.

  5. I just love this Steven Lorentz kid. Did you see the look on his face when he finally realized the puck went in the net? 🤣 His smile is so contagious, and every time I see him smiling it reminds me of that picture of him in his Maple Leafs PJ's lol 😂 My wife and I were blessed with a happy-go-lucky little guy, so I know how blessed and fun it must have been for his parents, having that happy little guy running around the house. 😃
