  3. Jets fan in Switzerland here. Its not called "Swiss" cheese over here. The 'one with the holes' is called Emmental, which comes from the Emmental valley. Emmental is the most popular Swiss cheese internationally, but within Switzerland, Gruyère is actually the most popular cheese (and my favourite). Sbrinz, Appenzeller, Raclette and Tête de Moine are also very popular. I'm happy to serve as a tour guide for an offseason IC Switzerland cheese tour, where to quote George Costanza we can get you "a block of cheese the size of a car battery".
