Recap: San Diego Gulls vs Calgary Wranglers, 3.29



The San Diego Gulls secured a 3-1 victory over the Calgary Wranglers in a hard-fought battle at Pechanga Arena. Calgary struck first with a power-play goal from Jeremie Poirier in the opening period, but San Diego responded in the second when Nico Myatovic found the back of the net to even the score. The Gulls took control in the final frame, with Stian Solberg netting his first goal of the season and first AHL goal to put San Diego ahead, followed by an insurance goal from Roland McKeown. Goaltender Ville Husso was stellar between the pipes, stopping 20 of 21 shots to earn first-star honors. With the win, the Gulls continue their strong push down the stretch, improving their record as they battle for playoff positioning.
