It just doesn’t get CLOSER than this 🤯

Philadelphia Flyers defenseman Emil Andrae barely manages to keep the puck out of the net after it danced on the goal line after a Dallas Stars Mikko Rantanen shot on goal.

  1. The camera is not ON the goal line. This probably did cross but without 'proof' they won't overturn. They need to mount cameras in the crossbar pointing straight down. Pretty sure that camera angle would have shown white ice behind the puck.

  2. That’s a goal all day long. They need in introduce common sense in the decision making in Toronto.

  3. Three things should happen here:

    1. The rink rats should install the paper lines closer to the surface just for the goal line within the crease to increase the sharpness of the edges.

    2. The multi billion dollar company should invest in some quality high resolution/framerate cameras for inside the net.

    3. The NHL should enforce the color of netting within the goalkeepers glove to ensure a more reliable and consistent review.

Theres options for sensors within the puck but a lot of players would not agree with the change to do a change in puck physics.

  4. That is 100% a goal. The camera is back like in the rear of the net. so it has an angle . If that camera was from the cross bar pointed down it would show it crossed the line by about 1/8th of an inch.

The taller that puck is ( larger diameter in vertical position) the more it will tower and appear in the red. Because we cannot see through the top lip of the puck to see white imbetween the puck and red line.

I needed to write this because i hate organizations Treating public like idiots.
