Shane Wright is the “Next One”
Since Wayne Gretzky, the Great One, hung up his skates forever, the hockey world has been looking for the next one. We’ve had Sidney Crosby, Connor Mcdavid, and now the likes and talents of latest first round pick, Alexis Lafrenière. Quite possibly, there’s one player who may top all of these elite future hall of famers if you could even imagine that. His name is Shane Wright, and while that may be a hot take, the search for the “Next One” may be over.

Generational talent I think. He is so good! I think he'll be 6ft 1, not too much growth left a 16, depending on genetics.

He beat two of mcdavids records not just the OHL but the U19 and if you notice McDavid had 25 goals in that OHL record, Wright had 39 and in 5 less game.
At 16 being compared to McDavid and Crosby that's nuts, this guy will be getting 150 point season no problem and if the hockey universe plays the NHL good and puts Wright on a top team? This guy could have a 175-200 point seasons. I know it sounds nuts, but when he got 66 points and 39 goals in 58 games at 16 in OHL if he was on a top team? He would have had 60 goals and 120 points in 58 games easy. His hockey IQ is definitely higher than McDavid and Crosby.
