Tortorella has been an incompetent coach for the vast majority of his career at the NHL level, and by all accounts, he apparently wasn't much of a hockey player either.
It would be nothing short of poetic justice for Tortorella to be signed to a one-day contract by every NHL team just so that he can be fired from them.
I'm laughing. He's a total jerk and destroys every team he coaches. I pity the next team he lands with.
The rumor is that Cam York went full Latrell Sprewell and fought Torts. This was the final straw for Briere
I kinda think Torts ends up replacing Laviolette when he also inevitably gets canned.

Can we picture Tortz in Edmonton?!…. His traditional and passionate style of coaching would hold players accountable plus he’s a very skilled coach! I think they should give it a go plus a new goalie in the off season and assess the defensive players to be kept or let go

There is NO reason for torts to be doing the things he does, like suddenly benching his top player(s). The ONLY logical reason is because of betting. He is doing what vegas tells him to. York has been hot this year so vegas didn't want to lose money. Also the same thing was done with Michkov. Arguably one of their top 3 players and when he got hot at the beginning of the season, he was also benched out of nowhere. Torts works for betting conglomerates. There is actually no reason that makes any sense other than that. Hope he gets some pain coming to him
