The stuff about working on one's game is so true. Everybody thinks Jordan was just a physical freak "AIR" but he had the foot work of a ballerina in the low post and just nasty up'n unders and jump hooks. Complete basketball player.

Early 90's Kemp was so exciting to watch. U were just waiting for some crazy, outrageous dunk to pop off at any time. Mid-late 90's level Kemp ascended to MVP levels. His game became so well rounded. He was so good in the NBA Finals against the Bulls.

Kemp himself is severely underrated and imo one of the top 5 PFs of all time, and even an old and beat up Larry Bird dominated him.

Pretty much this entire story is false. It's not hard to find the box score for this game on basketball-reference. Kemp only played 13 minutes off the bench and scored 5 pts with 2 fouls in Seattle's only game in Boston his rookie season. Xman started the game and played 36 minutes. Bird did have a phenomenal game, but "only" scored 40 and he played almost the whole game with 46 minutes. In a different video where Kemp is telling this story, he said Bird scored 50 in 3 quarters. Take the stories of how much better everything was in the past with a grain of salt. Time definitely makes memories grander. 20 years from now, Kemp will be telling the story how Bird scored 60 by halftime.
