  1. Missed the pod fellas. Good Nurse interview Shaug 👍Didn’t get to see goal 895. But I did see goal 889. Two heavy teams w great goaltending met in the peg tonight. Great game. I hope we see the oil elevate to that level down the stretch.

  2. I've heard almost no criticism for Nurse, both his play and his contract hit, this season. Which I think shows how much Nurse has locked it in and played his own game this season. His best season in recent memory overall

  3. Probably looking at 4 consecutive series on the road in the playoffs this year. If they can fight back and finish ahead of LA I think they've got a real chance against the Kings. I'm not sure they can get out of the division this year playing on the road.

The Kings have a historic home record and Vegas is top 5 in the League at home. I think every team in the other division would be favored against the Oilers in a 7 gane series and possibly even the Blues if they continue on this tear they're on (14-2-2 in their last 18).

But I'd love to see this team find themselves and find their game here before the end. Unfortunately, this team isn't as good as last year, but the D should be better which should now be the strong point of this team. It's going to be very tough moving forward without finding depth scoring though, which is something the Oilers after Jackson's July.1st disaster will plague this team for years to come.

  4. You can play Stetcher for 10-12 minutes in the playoffs 5-on-5. That's it though. Emberson would be a liability right now and he also needs a lot of rest.

The problem all year has been the forwards, secondary scoring and the defensive zone coverage.

  5. LINE 1
MacDavid C (shoots Left) – Hyman LW (shoots Right) – RNH C (shoots Left)
    Line 2
Draisatl C (shoots Left) – Arvidson LW (shoots Right)- Podkolzin RW (shoots Left)
    LINE 3
Henrique C (shoots Left) – Frederic C (shoots Left) – Brown RW (shoots Right)
    LINE 4
Janmark C (shoots Left) – Kane LW (shoots Left) – Kapanen RW (shoots Right)

    Bench
    – Perry RW (shoots Right) *platoon with Kapanen
    – Skinner LW (shoots Left) *might get looks if the team can't score
    – Derek Ryan C (shoots Right) * Might have a series where you need a right handed faceoff guy for big draws. Possession may play a factor in several series.
    – Max Jones LW (shoots Left) *probably wont play

Kane and Frederic may switch lines depending on output and play. Perry wont be in the lineup every day in the playoffs.

Also, never do leaves in the fall, the cover will protect the ground and make the ground more fertile and rich. If you want to clear them at all do it in the Spring.

  6. In the news.
St.Louis on a 14-2-2 run currently under Montgomery. St.Louis could still catch and pass the Wild which is something no one had been talking about.

Broberg a 4-point night, Holloway hits 60 points. Ya 60 god damn points!

    Holloway 24g 36a 60p +18
    Foegele 20g 20a 40p +29
    Mcleod 17g 26a 43p +10
    Broberg 8g 19a 27p +20

It's so sad Jeff Jackson screwed up so bad. Bowman has done a somewhat adequate job of retooling a really old and slow roster though. I like the Walman add, and Podkolzin is a very serviceable bottom 6 player.

  7. For the MVP race:
#1 Draisatl The Oilers don't make the playoffs this year without him
#2 Makar Will hit 30 goals
#3 MacKinnon A monster point guy and really the defact-o best player in the NHL.
#4 Hellebuyck Best goalie in the league
    #5 Eichel Great 2way centre
#6 Ovechkin 36 goals? Would have had 50 goals at Age 39 if he wasn't hurt, that's a big deal.

    Note*

Hellybuck has a team of top 10-15 players everywhere in the lineup. Sheiffele, Connor, Morrison, Villardi, Ehlers, best 3rd line in hockey, etc.

  8. Strud has the correct lines skinner mcdavid Hyman is and should be the line now and thru playoffs also Jeff Jackson has screwed this team !
