It seems like your trying to rub your face with the Michigan State loss a bit much
It was a bit of breakdown on defense by Michigan State, but Cornell kept coming and made plays when they needed it. MSU may have overlooked this team and found an early exit by doing so.
I think the only thing left for Augustine to accomplish at MSU is to try and win the national championship. Will that be enough to keep him from going pro? I don’t think so, and I think he signs his ELC and begins his pro career soon.
A projected Cossa/Augustine pairing will be among the best tandems Detroit has ever seen in net.
Kniw how I know Trey is a bust? He was not smart enough for Michigan and choose that ugly green over the beautiful Maize and Blue.
I never get high on Detroit goalie prospects. They've had so many over the years and maybe one true starter came from that and that cane when he was 27 or something. Jimmy Howard who almost, maybe should have won Calder. But after that he was basically an average NHL goalie playing on some decent teams.
Detroit and goalie prospects are not a match made in heaven.
But I guess we are due when you think of it. Same amount of time between Osgood and Howard rookie years as Howard and 2025. Time flies 😮

Lmao it would make little to no sense for him to get a role on GR. MBN and ASP yes both make a ton of sense but Augustine can go next year and wither be a tandem with cossa or cossa gets promotes and Augustine stays down with Campbell to learn from

I think Augustine could benefit from another year at MSU. He wasn’t the best netminder in college this season. Why rush him? I doubt he’d be in the AHL for the majority of the season so let him play in the B1G with great competition and another year to build his confidence.
