It’s so crazy to me that each and every year the goal for the Flames is to just make the playoffs and MAYBE win a round or 2 and never to actually contend for the cup. It’s gotten so bad that we actually have to gaslight ourselves in thinking we will win a round this year scoring 3 goals or less each game AGAINST the reigning and current vezina winner 🤣🤣🤣. If we don’t sell the 2030’s will just be another era of MID Flames hockey once again, especially with the same ownership at the helm 🔥🔥🔥.
STARS help elevate your team. We have some good players, that’s about it. The closest thing we have to a “star” is Wolf at this point. 1 stud goalie can’t carry you for 82 games. It was supposed to be Huberdeau, it won’t be, he’ll score 60-65 points a year until we eventually move on from him. That’s it. The young guys haven’t taken a massive step yet. Coronato’s maybe the closest, but other than his shot, he doesn’t do a lot of things well. We need a good pick this year and we need the Parekh’s and Battaglia’s to come up and make an immediate impact
The Jets should take the Flames in a 7 game series. That being said, ANYTHING can happen. The Blue Jackets SWEPT the Presidents Trophy Winning and Regular Season Record Setting Tampa Bay Lightning.
The Stanley Cup is the hardest trophy to win in all of pro sports. The NHL Postseason is the most entertaining postseason in all of pro sports, especially the first round. But you also need luck or bounces to go your way to win. More random things can happen in hockey. Its a thick rubber disc, played on ice, with guys on skates. You need puck luck, which is an actual thing.
So while the Jets should beat the Flames, again i say, anything can happen. Hell, Calgary went to the finals as a 7th seed if im not mistaken when they went on that run in '04. They have a goalie that can get hot, and if you have that, you have a chance. I wouldn't necessarily fear Winnipeg like i would Colorado or Dallas to be honest.

Only if Wolf can play lights out
I mean, probably not, but Flames weirdly play well against Hellebucyk. Of all the top teams, that's the one I'd want to play the most.
Sell! Holy crap sell
We need to sell sell sell

Flames have a ton of cap space , they can add lots at the deadline

If I'm Winnipeg and get the Flames first round 🎉
Please censor Jamie’s disgusting gargoyle ears.
Hell no
Rebuild Time!
04 Flames were given ZERO chance to beat the Wings Rhett…as you may remember
Very possible. Because there is 3 things you can count on come spring. Leafs, Marner and Hellebuyck not showing up when the playoffs start.
