Zack Kassian Destroys Kennedy and than Fights

I know this video has been uploaded a million times.. But here’s a new outlook, slow motion. Watch Kassians body slide right up kennedy’s like when you deflect a puck in front like a shovel. The physics is no different than that Kassians body had to lift off the ice. In this game Rinaldo was taking runs at Spits and it was getting quite chippy, Number 1 vs Number 2, you have to expect hard hitting and bang up hockey in a game like this. 5 games should be a sufficient suspension for this hit, as it’s just a blatant 5 minutes for interference. He wasn’t trying to kill the kid, he just didn’t want him skating thru the neutral zone with his head down wanted to give him the good ol “trolley tracks” but unfortunately the puck deflected and didn’t make it to Kennedy. A tough play for either side. These are just kids remember! Dont’ be so hard on the guy, he plays a hard physical game. Buffalo wouldn’t have a problem with this hit if it were against the sens 😉

  1. @DoctorFrankenboot You know, if you dont like watching clean hits, I'm pretty sure there are world figure skating videos somewhere on Youtube you can watch. Bye.

  2. Dirty or not, the guy had his head down and that's one of the first rules you learn. Don't skate with your head down or you'll get hit. Hard. End of story.

  3. @TheTjstephenson Oops. Damn commentators had me confused. 😛 I haven't followed Z. Kassian's teams yet, so I apologize for the mix up.

  4. lol idk but im pretty sure this vid just explained otherwise, and yes he did leave his feet, but not till after contact, 5 games at most

  5. that is not zack kassian that is matt kassian no relation… not even close to the same dude.

  6. The unfortunate fact is that head injuries are devastating to humans. The game has to adjust to this. Its not being pussified, its being altered in order to deal with unfortunate facts of life.
