How can Maple Leafs get more from Morgan Rielly?

It’s no secret that Morgan Rielly is having one of the worst statistical seasons of his career but as the Leafs defenceman sits at -19 for the campaign, how can the coaching staff get more out him? TSN Director of Scouting Craig Button joins Domino’s That’s Hockey to discusses this and how Toronto’s defence stacks up against the other contending teams in the East.

  1. I like the idea of a defensive dman to pair with him.

Let Morgan play to his capabilities, like Oilers did with Paul Coffey who was an all-out Offensive DMan with zero defense

  2. Doesn't matter whom he's paired with. At 31 Morgan's skating skills have declined considerably. He doesn't have the speed to carry the puck anymore and he also can't seem to make a good breakout pass and he's not big or strong enough to win corner batttles. So what's left?
