Coaches to monitor after Tortorella fired by Flyers
After John Tortorella was fired by the Philadelphia Flyers, TSN Hockey Insider Pierre LeBrun joins Gino Reda to discuss the coaches to monitor in the wake of that news.
It's about time. He has broken the Flyers spirit too many times. He's arrogant towards the press. He can be a baby. I call him John Trumporella. He switches the lines way too much and doesn't give the players enough time to acclimate to each others skills. That's not all on him though. The team makes too many turnovers and we really don't have a goalie in our system. Our guys can score goals. They just have to shoot the puck more. Briere should've never moved laughts. THAT was the nail in the coffin. I love couturier but laughts should have worn the C. Danny has some work to do this summer. Like nail us a star goalie. And not a has-been like we always get.
I'm not a torts fan, But what has Briere done to make this team better?What? nothing. And here we sit.Nothing's changing with the flyers in almost a decade and we're being told next year, next year, Be patient.

You can't coach a team of players that have no heart. The Flyers didn't make moves at the deadline because they have a bunch of untradable players with no drive to be better…..

toomany teams in NHL, Not enough good players.25 teams is what North America can handle. Now its like a few teams that has a top players, before cap era it was the same. Some teams sucks and players don't want to play there. too many boring games. ticket price too high way too high. it is a few games a month that is great.. if you have 25 teams it will be a big fat league.

They were losing before the trade deadline. The power play stunk before the trade deadline. Torts is not the right guy. They need goaltending.
