I think “there are bottles at your feet” should be part of any new intro clips.
Will never like the format we have in the NHL. It should never have been changed from first seed vs eighth seed. The two best teams in the league should never play each other in the first round lol

Stolarz really just had a bad March and with the injury Woll just got the games. Woll is the 'hot hand' when compared to Stolarz currently but both are in direct competition for that Game 1 spot. It's great stuff for a Division race because you can let either rest when needed even for minor maintenance and just give them the next game while the other guy place like an Ace. Berube after two days off might just flip a coin.

1 solid goaltending
2 more gritty players, which ⬆️ team toughness
3 solid top 4 on d
4 a coach who has the ability to maximize each players' strengths

I appreciate the reply though personally I still think a tandem is the better choice because these guys are injury prone
We basically have to ask them to do one of two things
1) be one of the first tandems to make a deep run in the playoffs
2) play 16-28 games straight without injury for the first time ever
I could see them pulling off ask 1, but ask 2?
We could end up in a situation where both play a stretch of 12, get hurt and then we’re relying on Murray or Hildeby to win the final games
Whenever toronto rolls one goalie they always break the guy be it physically or mentally I’d say if there was ever a time to roll the dice on a tandem it’s now

I can't believe Steve left out the fun fact that Knies joined some interesting company with his 25th goal of the season. Tom Wilson and Brady Tkachuk, only other players in the NHL this year to have 25 goals and 150 hits. It's nice to have that type of player on our roster

I hate the amount of icing calls this season! Make icing only from your own zone! Eliminate red line icing rule. We took out the two line pass to speed the game up. Do the same for icing! 👍

When have we seen that actually tried in the playoffs? I've seen people point to the Bruins the past 2 years but that was only a tandem in the regular season: in 2023, Ullmark played 6 of 7 games against Florida, with Swayman playing all of Game 7 and 3 minutes in Game 4. In 2024, they reversed this, with Swayman playing 6 of 7 against Toronto and all 6 against Florida, while Ullmark got 1 game against the Leafs, and less than a full period in round 2.
So please, Steve, tell me when a team has Actually Tried a playoff tandem since the 2013 Lockout.
After New York got that tie goal near the end of the 1st, I was like "Please, Leafs! PLEASE get another goal before the end of the period. You've done it before, I know you can do it." AND THEY DID. I was hollering "THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!"
