Could be a playoff defining game. No isle special loser pt./3 pt. game needed. And sat. vs. flames same old same old. Blow lead late, go to ot only this time take the well-deserved loser point after same scenario only no loser point vs. habs. You can pretty much tell how this story ends. Isles stay in race till the end only unlike last season don't pull away at end to grab playoff spot which was the automatic third in division spot, not a w c spot. Not necessarily because isles have gotten worse but because isles remain stagnant same as habs and sens have improved. The price isles have to pay for stubborn louzer's penchant to run it back every season with same results. And if isles have to rely on bottom liners to get them to playoffs they have no shot. And wings have sputtered out of playoff race for same reason-they have no depth scoring as well. Too reliant on 4 guys to do their scoring.
And one lousy no good 'expert' claims isles are gonna bring shanahan in after season so louzer can go back to his ex-devil bag of tricks to recruit marner to isles in off-season.
Louser is a joke.
Louser is a joke.
Wow…we have no Barzal…we were sellers…of Brock Nelson ..points in 5 consecutive games…and you spin it as a negative….stick to baseball Gilles lol
Yes. Tonight is either a big win or the start of another losing streak. Let’s see. Been down this road before.
Ugh, it’s not good that they’ve lost 6 in a row. That means they’re due to win. (If they were playing Washington Capitals? I’d expect the Columbus Bluejackets to win) I’d much rather play a team that has won 6 in a row because we know they are due to lose. This is bad news, I hope the Isles prove me wrong!
Yup, you are right John Alexander Tonelli just turned 68 yesterday. (Wikipedia gets a lot wrong, but got that one right) I would have believed you over Wikipedia, that’s for sure. So, John Tonelli bailed them out so “WE” could win our 3rd consecutive Stanley Cup. (I’ve been told he was our best cornerman on the dynasty team?) I wish I had grown up in a sports watching household! I’m going to be 53 on April 14. Time goes by WAY too fast the older I get. I’ve always loved the way Ivan Provorov played; he’s a good hockey player.
Agree Gil, I love this new 4th line! Tough loss against the Flames. Need this one tonight in Regulation! LGI
Good 🌄, Gil. How are you? The Islanders got a laser point on Saturday against the 🔥. Marcua Hogberg looked solid. They went back to blowing the lead in the 3rd period again. The Islanders have a rough schedule from this pointvon
Hero, the identity line. 🐐 for blowing the lead in the 3rd period again. The Islanders signed 2 moves. 1st, they signed NCAA Free agent Gleb Verinyevv from NJ to Bridgeport. 2nd, they signed Jesse Pulkinen also to Bridgeport at 6'6 215 lbs, this kid has brute strength, but he still needs to work on his skating. At 20 years old, he's still very young. He's also going to Bridgeport. They face the🧥at UBS Arena tonight. Hopefully, the Islanders will catch while they're reeling they've lost 6 on a row. HAPPY 🎂, JOHN TONELLI. He was a work 🐎. Drafted by the Islanders in 1977, he played for Houston in the WHA. He scored the tying goal and the GW goal in OT to take out the 🐧. He helped Bob Nystrom start the Dynasty, and then Nystrom helped save the Dynasty. 2 bonus games. 1. He became the 2nd Islander to score 5 goals in a win over the Maple 🍁. 2. He scored the GW against the then CO Rockies to set a then league record 15th win in a row. Hear from you later, Gil, but before I go, if you remember the show, PM Magazine. In 1980, they featured Bryan Trottier, who was over the 🌙 at 24. WHAT A FUN ⏲️ IT WAS FOR HIM. Now, LET'S GO, ISLANDERS.
Good morning team! Gil, it's hard to feel bad when the team is on a point streak the way they are, but we sure did need those two points on Saturday. A very difficult part of our schedule is coming, and we need to play with the same intensity we've seen lately. Our next seven games are not going to be easy. Out of these, Columbus is probably the team that is similar to us. The others are surely better than we are. Time to play up to our opponents talent. Sorokin can keep us in every game, and I know we need Hogberg to play at least 2 of the next 7. I hope he gets into his pre-injury form very soon. Down the stretch we are going to need him. I'm going to enjoy watching these games, I hope everyone else will as well. Everyone, have a great day! See you all again tomorrow. Until then.. Let's Go Islanders!!
JT will always be a dynasty legend on the island. No, not talking about pj boy. Home ice, regulation win against CBJ tonight, LGI!!!!
I agree The goal allowed with 2 mins left in the third was inexcusable! Where was the defence? I hope they make a playoff spot
hey Lou did you ever think why this player plays for Colo. College instead of Colo. University….He no doubt could not make the team…..Lou it is time you retire from Hockey, your career NOW is becoming a joke…..Oh! to the owners maybe the next time you hire a GM which will most likely be when Lou turns 90, since Lou did such a great job hire another 80 year old. to the owners, how come we fans only hear from you at Olympics time for your niece, no other time…..Please sell the team, and take Lou with you.
Gil, how do you think the future looks? Finally getting some prospects and have 8th most cap space next year? Obviously I hope they make the playoffs this year
Great 1st period. I don't mind Boqvist in the line-up. He is always thinking offence. He and DeAngelo move the puck north and push the pace on the other team…kind of refreshing to see in balance with the defensive stalwarts like Pelech and Pulock.
Well, special teams were costly in the second, but they're still in the lead and could have the PP help the team to start the third.
Watched the game. Islanders are inconsistent garbage. If rangers and canadians finish season on losing streak and isles fall into playoffs, they don't stand a chance of winning one game against caps or canes. Isles only play hard for 40min. They collapse in the 3rd. Season ticket holder here whos been to over 50 ganes last 3 seasons. Not anymore, im staying home. Isles play garbage hockey and have no future with Lou and this core of players. LGI
Wake the eff up isles nation. I feel sorry for Butch Goring. He has to commentate this crappy team night after night and pretend to be optimistic.
Why be a season ticket holder?? Attendance has been declining last two seasons. Much harder for season ticket holder to sell extra tickets now. Ticket demand has dropped so much that i can buy half price tickets before games. Cheaper than investing in season tickets.
