This is what happens when you have a delusional owner who doesn't actually care about bringing a cup to Vancouver. Clearly the problem with the Canucks for the past decade was that they never cared to rebuild properly. Yet the owner goes out to hire Jim Rutherford. His openly said he had no plans on rebuilding the team and wants to rush to win a cup. That's exactly what the Canucks got. 1 good season, then they completely screwed up the off season. How are you supposed to win when half of your team from last year is gone? This franchise is a complete joke. Only thing holding them together is Quinn Hughes.

Tough L for Canucks. It's not often you dominate a team 39-12 in shots and lose 5-3. That's hockey for you though, mostly skill with a healthy dose of luck and randomness.

Very frustrating loss tonight. A couple of bad calls by refs and a couple of defensive brain farts by the Kanucks allowed NY to hang around long enough to steal the win. The Rangers were absolutely terrible for the first 40 min and the Kanucks really needed to bury them in the first 40 min. Now EP40 is hurt along with Hogg doesn't bold well for the remaining games in this road trip. Hats off to Quinn Hues as he literally was trying to will this team to victory in that 3rd period. Hopefully, some of the other teams chasing this final wild card spot hit a speed bump or two in the remaining games that are left.
