Buffalo Sabres forward Tyson Kozak spoke with the media after the team’s win over the Winnipeg Jets on March 23, 2025. Kozak had a large group of friends and family at the game to see him in his first NHL game at his “hometown” rink (Kozak is from Souris, two hours outside of Winnipeg), and scored in the win. He talked about his game play, scoring his second NHL goal in front of friends and family, the win, and more.

Kozak is 23. There are 13 games left in the season. Bring up as many players as you can from Rochester to let them see how it is and what they need to work on. To get the Third pick before the lottery
Kozak is the type of player that this franchise needs, excellent basic hockey skills, works hard in front of the net, responsible defensively both ends of the ice, doesn't back down when battling in the corners or along the boards. Kid's a keeper, glad to see him doing well after following him in Rochester and finally getting the chance with the home club!
